Yea this build actually looks like it could work. I've never tried spirit visage on swain, is the bonus healing in conjunction with his ult noticeable? You'll be pretty tanky, but the only thing I'm concerned about is your mid game AP levels. I'm not sure you'll have enough AP to do enough damage. I'd almost recommend getting crystal scepter before abyssal, simply cause the giants belt will help just as much defensively as the magic resist will.

Lastly, I agree with the above poster, banshee's veil would be a solid choice.

Haha yeah my bad. Yea I tested that Abyssal Scepter out, works well with beast mode! Updating now. ^^

I mentioned nothing about the defense tree - I think you're going down the right path with the utility tree.

part of the reason why i went support tree instead of defense tree was strictly for the cooldown reduction. although i see the damage mitigation (in the def. tree) being useful for a specified tank, i feel that swain benefits way more going into the support tree.

i really like the idea of throwing on an abyssal scepter on this bad boy, i will give it a shot tonight and hopefully post here with my results later tonight. swain is such an enjoyable character for me to play, and with this build i wanted to express some of his versatility.

in some games i just dont like the utility banshees presents us with, but in a sense, tank swain would appreciate this item more than RoA, especially if i rushed abyssal scepter before hand. also, i seemed to have overlooked this item in general when considering its usefulness on CC mitigation.

This actually... isn't too bad. I strongly recommend you finish up your item build with an Abyssal Scepter followed by turning that Glacial Shroud into a Frozen Heart. With your masteries and items, you reach the 40% CDR cap, which is great.

With the Abyssal Scepter, you gain magic resist and ability power, both things that Swain needs if he wants to at least offtank successfully. Getting that Frozen Heart bumps you up to 183 armor.

Personally I think that Banshee's Veil is far more useful in this scenario than Force of Nature - but I do see what you're doing, using the increased healing from Spirit Visage in conjunction with the regeneration from Force of Nature. Still, I'd really push for that Banshee's Veil, especially if you're getting an Abyssal Scepter.
