Chapter 1

Hey guys this is thatmoomsguy. This is my first guide so bear with me. A lot of this guide is based on Dotter's guide. Specifically the runes, skills, and masteries. Dotter's guide is very good and it was the only reason I did any good as malaphite. Here is his guide for credit: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/malphite-they-say-he-is-the-coon-31960

The only thing I didn't care for was the lack of abusing malaphite's amazing passive. I believe he mentions this, but I think it malaphite's greatest asset. The item build as you can see is very armor based. Maly is most effective when fighting melee based champs. The best part about this build is the two replaceable items. Randuins omen can be switched for Force of Nature and Thornmail can be replaced by banshees veil. As long as you get warmogs and play safe, you can build any combination of magic resist and armor.

Skill summary:

Granite Sheild is an amazing passive. If you get warmogs and get other health boost items you will be able to take an impressive amount of damage before actually TAKING the damage. At level 18 with fully charged warmogs you can take multiple shots from towers or take entire ults from other champs unscathed.

Seismic Shard is your primary harassing and chasing skill. Early game you will use this to soften champs up for the kill. It also keeps them from leveling as fast as you because they have to keep healing. Its chasing ability is great because it steals movement speed allowing you or your mates to catch up and get some kills.

Brutal Strikes is seems to be the least helpful of Maly's skills. It is helpful don't get me wrong, but I find myself almost always forgetting to use its active skill. The passive is a little helpful for farming, but i think it is just better to level everything else as much as possible.

Ground slam is one of my favorite moves. It is your creep farming skill. Early game use it to last hit creeps to get lots of kills. Champ wise this ability wrecks. The reduction of attack speed makes quick attackers like Xin and Yi useless. If you go full armor build then it also does amazing damage because 70% of your armor is converted to damage.

Unstoppable Force is the scariest thing to ever happen to the enemy team. Be warned and again I agree with Dotter. If your team doesn't know how to react to you using this move you probably will die. Use this move wisely. Nothing takes the enemy team by more surprise then the first time you use your ult. It is great for pursuing and running. Even with hardly any ability power it will cause enough damage for you to ground slam and seismic shard your way to victory.

For other/the rest of how to play as malaphite check out Dotter's guide. This guide is very similar just a different version. Enjoy.
