Introduction to Mid Mally
Malphite is THE tank carry of League of Legends. He does exceedingly well in mid lane against the popular squishy middle lane people, such as Twisted Fate, Teemo, Ashe,and Miss Fortune. He belongs in mid against squishy carries. Mally anti carries well and can become the carry in solo queues when there are only complete ******s on both teams.
NOTE: Nothing is set in stone and things can be changed according to play style or teams.
Runes of the Mally-ster
These runes were chosen because they complement Mally. Magic penetration compliments his harassing QQ spell, mana regen per level for seals allow for more spamming and disregard the need of clarity, and mana regen per level glyphs and flat magic resist. Glyphs are different because Mally is mainly anti PHYSICAL carry and has a naturally low magic resist stat early game. Starting out with that extra 6 or 7 magic resist will help early game against harassment. Flat health quintessences because it compliments his passive. In reality, Mally will have 110 extra health because of these quintessences.
Masteries of the mOhPee Mally
Almost standard caster masteries.
Pick up the extra magic penetration with ability power and cooldowns. The extra regen for health and mana in utility complement his mana regen for more harassing and the cooldown reduction reduces the need of cooldown reduction runes.
Summoner Spells of Mally the Monster Rock Hard Champion
Flash and Ignite combo help for that first blood or to chase and finish off that one straggler that is running away.
Flash would be considered a must on this build, and ignite can be switched out for a couple other spells.

Skill Sequence of Mally - OP FFFFUUUUUUUUUU!!
That sequence is for mid-late game to get a kill in a team fight. Drop the ultimate and you got yourself a 1v1 fight.
To get guaranteed kills with summoner skills.
*Focus range squishes that deal massive damage*
W-> R-> E-> Q-> IGNITE-> AUTO-> Q-> FLASH-> CLEAN UP
In a creep wave while farming, just use "E" or "W->E" with full mana.
The Toys of Mally MUNCH Nom Nom
The items listed in the item build are the ones I have been getting recently in all these random solo queues. They are entirely situational, except for 3.
-The catalyst the protector is first item to get in any match.
-Next will be Boots of Speed that will be built into the other boots based on the other team.
-The third item will be a Rod of Ages. Essential for the mix of defense and offense.
Situational Toys for Mally Movie Night with Free IP
This section is for the situations where the enemy team has some counter productive spells that requires me to explain what each item should build into. PLEASE take the time to learn the champions and try to play each one at least once or read a build on them to get an idea of how they are played and their role in this massive field of battling.
*NOTE- These are not the recommended order in which to get them, get them as you would see fit to the situation (A Cait builds AS early on and is starting to carry, get a Frozen Heart early on to shut her down.)
HEAVY CC AND AD DPS
An example of a team that I just played (1-19-2011) that required some special items. I was a lonely Mally against a CAITLYN, UDYR, "ERECTONUS" (Renekton), GAREN, and eveNERF. Possible AP Eve but that changed in game to an AD eve that failed hard, BUT that team had 3 stuns and quite a bit of AD DPS. Build?

Example: Lux, Morganna, Vladimir, Teemo, Anivia, and Malzahar.
Quicksilver Sash Guardian Angel Mercury's Treads Lich Bane. The Lich Bane will be only in rare cases where you just pwn the other team and have that extra slot that looks so lonely and something fun would like to be placed there.
