This is my first guide, not that comprehensive. I love playing Malphite top like this. Try it out, it is much more fun than just tank Malphite. Please note that this isn't necessarily the best or most effective way to play Malphite, but is very viable and a lot of fun. This is a build for Malphite as an AP Offtank. Enjoy!

Passive Granite Shield makes trading easy
Has great engage with Unstoppable Force
Can kite well with Seismic Shard
Can blow up squishy targets with combo
Peels well for carries
High base damages
The Bad
Slow auto attack animation
Easily bullied early game
Mana hungry early game
Reliant on Unstoppable Force to be really useful in teamfights
Hard to comeback when you get behind
Reliant on cooldowns
