This build makes malphite a great tank/dps champion from mid game on. Your bread and butter will be ground slam as it does upwards of 600+ dmg to each champion you hit and greatly decreases the damage output of the other teams carry.

Early game you should focus on minions and harassing with seismic shard to attempt to starve the other team of gold and exp by being too low on health to stay near the creeps. If you keep this up an oppurtunity to gank will eventually arise and that is when you will need your ignite spell to kill any low health enemies that are trying to limp away.

Mid game you should start to have more of a presence and should notice that you are the focus of the other team during team fights. This is most because you can put out a ton of burst dmg right in the middle of their entire teamby using your ult followed by ground slam and then casting Brutal strikes and then using seismic shard on any squishy enemies that are trying to run.

End game is where you will really shine as your will ALWAYS be the initiator of team battles for your side. You should never really wander around alone even though you can almost any champion 1v1 at this point.


In regards to the item choices that I made, if you feel that the enemy is much more AP focused then replace Thornmail with Force of Nature for the extra MR.
