Introduction

Hi guys. This is my Malphite Guide. This is gonna be a quick guide, just like my other ones.

Runes

Greater Mark of Strength: Gives you a little more damage. Malphite already starts with high amount of damage, these runes make it so that you can still damage with your auto-attacks early in the game.

Greater Seal of Resilience: Simple. This gives you armor. It is one of the most common rune used for tanks for its greatness.

Greater Glyph of Warding: Gives you the magic resist for early game play. Good throughout the game tho.

Greater Quintessence of Endurance: Gives you some health. Its better for the late game because it multiplies your max health.

Masteries

As a tank, you want to be able to take a lot of damage. The more "Defence Masteries" you have, the better tank you can be.

Items and Gameplay

Ok. You are probably asking: "Why Chalice of Harmony?". Its not that hard to understand. With the masteries and runes I chose, I feel like I don't get enough mana regeneration from yourself and from the philosopher stone, and so this item gets you great mana regeneration, as well as magic resist.

The way you use Malphite top (in my opinion), you need to be able to poke your enemy faster than he can poke you OR faster than he can heal up. This works against everybody. You use your Seismic Shard against the champion. It will slow them down and boost you up, so you can catch him up quite fast so you can use your Ground Slam, along with some auto-attacks using your Brutal Strike active. If they run, they will be losing a lot of health. If they try to fight back, your Ground Slam will have slowed down their attack speed by a lot. Once you poke your enemy enough, make sure your Ignite is ready, and make sure you have enough mana so you can use all your abilities once ATLEAST.

For late game, the 6 items (Ninja Tabi, Frozen Heart, Sunfire Cape, Thornmail, Force of Nature, Banshees Veil) should make you an unstoppable force, which stacks up with your ultimate "Unstoppable Force" so you can destroy the enemy team as well as disrupting them. Always try to engage when you can hit 3 or more champions with your ability. If not, wait for when their biggest damage dealer so you can bring him down fast. You will usually be one of the last ones standing, so make sure you know what to do after, either destroying a turret, push a lane, or go farm the jungle.
