i tried clarity a lot of times but i don't really have mana issues due to the dorans and masteries but of course you can use clarity if you really want to.i just thing ignite works better.you can also counter mundo,swain etc. with it

Also I'd suggest using Clarity, Malphite is very mana dependant and Clarity can help a lot, Try using it one game and see how much longer you stay in a lane ;] Just a suggestion though don't change what you think is best for yourself :]
