Introduction

This guide is for a Full AP Malzahar, as a result of being full AP, he is very squishy, and if not played correctly, you will be very vulnerable. Malzahar scales extremely well with AP, making him a monster in teamfights, even growing to the point where your W can take up to 15% of an enemies opponent per second. He has a powerful CC, and a very powerful harass.

Abilities

His Q is a very powerful, long range silence that is one of the more difficult abilities in the game to land. Fortunately, if positioned correctly, it is near impossible to escape. You want to try to use this to silence heavy AP or Support characters, as it will majorly cripple their abilities to perform in team fights.

His W is a small AoE that deals a percentage of your opponents maximum health each second they stand in it. Coupled with your E and R, you can almost guarantee securing a kill. You usually want to land this on enemy tanks, as it does a percentage of maximum health, and devastates tanks. It makes health stacking completely useless and thanks to this ability, you can easily kill any character in the game.

His E is a ranged harass DoT that jumps from target to target upon death. This makes Malzahar an extremely powerful harasser, as if your enemy is melee, and not careful, the DoT will jump to them and it will do a large portion of their health in damage. You want to throw this onto low health targets to quickly damage them without worry for your safety.

His R is a massively powerful suppression that deals tons of damage. Landing your ultimate in early games can usually result in a kill, if you hit them with your E and W. In team fights, you want to look for overextended champions to land this on, because once used, the enemy is rendered completely useless unless they have a CC breaker, or you are interrupted. The suppression gives your team enough time to jump onto your target, and easily turn a potential team fight into a 4v5. If the fight is already initiated, you want to land it on high health targets standing in your W.
