I got bored one ranked game and didn't want to use a ADC so I decided to use malzahar. He is strong overall in mid lane. Sending him to bot lane with a support just makes him even better because he can push the lane by himself and not worry about the enemy team if you just keep a steady pace of push and farm. You don't need to engage until you're getting ready for a gank.

Pros: Cons:
Very strong overall game. Mana hungry.
Very good push capability. Sucks in engagements until mid game build.
Can kill fast by comboing Squishy without spell vamp.
