I can very much see where you're coming from with this, and I agree with what you're trying to say in some spots. Yes, Jax does feel a bit clunky without the boots, and mobility is something incredibly important in the game. However, he's not just dead in the water. Trinity Force is still giving him decent movement speed, with the rage passive great for sticking when in a fight, as well as his Q ghost, and gunblade active in order to keep up. He's slow moving around the jungle which is annoying, but when he's in the middle of a fight it's not a problem. If you end up having a problem with getting kited that specific game, you could switch out Rageblade for Nashor's, or Rod for Frozen heart, as the CDR for your Q is honestly more important if getting kited than the small increase in movement speed the boots will give you. Or you could run CDR runes/masteries and keep blue buff handy.

Yes this is primarily a jungle guide, and I agree it feels terrible to just throw away your jungle item. However, none of the final jungle items have what this build needs in terms of stats. With Cinderhulk there's not enough hp to make efficient use of it, nor will you be fighting somebody long enough for the aura to deal enough damage to make it worth the item slot. The same thing with Devourer, that it's going to take TOO long to get the damage on par with the alternatives. Honestly I wish that this build would work top, but I've been working with this for a few weeks and unless you get into a passive lane matchup (I love you Shen) then the enemy laner is just going to eat you. You need to start building up the utility early, or you won't have it at all, and by the time you're level six you basically only have a sheen for damage, if that. The jungle is much safer as your enemy jungler won't know what build you're going and even if you're getting counter jungled sufficient ward coverage can prevent you from feeding. But yes I do agree that it does feel like a waste when you have to get rid of that jungle item.

As for providing me with some substitute items, I thank you for your input, but I think the build will work better how it is. As I addressed earlier, the low movement speed isn't that big of an issue, and the speed boost from Righteous Glory isn't enough to justify the lower hp, much lower mana, and the fact that there's no AP on it when compared to Rod of Ages. Rageblade I agree can be dropped. But only for a Nashor's tooth. Unless you're saying that it needs to be dropped for boots, in which case I disagree, but if you were to drop 1 for boots than get rid of gunblade. Gunblade's a great item extremely efficient but you already have access to every stat it tried to give you. Rageblade is the only item with significant attack speed so you can't just leave that entirely.

And as for which spell to max first, I normally max Q if I'm going to be ganking often. Even with his lackluster early, Jax can still get off some great ganks if you manage to stun their midlaner, for example. But if they have hard to gank lanes, or you're falling behind and aren't confident you can get a good gank off, then feel free to max W, and your clear will drastically improve.

Have a good day.

I have to argue for Devourer (sp?) as an extremely potent late game item for this guild. The fact that it will allow your on hits to proc twice every other attack means (if you time it right) you can land sheen twice; even if you're not that skilled applying the bonus damage from Manamune would be incredibly potent. Just a thought

sorry for bad english

The build actually calls for both Archangels AND Manamune. Jax is a champion with tons of AP scalings, so the AP helps out.

Quite amusing and I must say I've never seen anything quite like it. However, there is a fine line between hilariously viable and just hilarious. Even with Trinity Force you'll still be slow and clunky without normal boots, making it difficult for you to catch up to enemies and stick to them.

In addition, there are a couple other problems as well:
-I'm assuming this is jungle jax, but what's the good of it if you're just going to throw away your jungle item? Devourer and Cinderhulk are both fantastic lastgame additions.
-Rather than Rod of Ages, I'd recommend replacing it with Turbo Chemtank. Again, speaking of viability vs stats. The active on Turbo Chemtank is amazing for chasing and sticking.
-You're going to have to drop Guinsoo's Rageblade or Hextech Gunblade. You simply don't have the item slots to accommodate for all your core items.
-Jesus that's a huge wall of text.
-IMO maxing Empower will probably serve you better.

All in all, could use some improvement, but good job anyways :)

The only problem with this is you MUST try to snowball hard early OR scale with farm for lategame (which takes awhile than normal with this) Otherwise I can confirm this works. Jax Hybrid is very strong!
