Well, I AM NOT SURE, but his jungle can be done with a philo's, maybe? See if Hahano allows you to get his Maokai stats from his "Who is your jungler and what does he do?" guide.

Well, anyways, just list why would you like to jungle Maokai and why wouldn't you :P.

I'm liking this guide more and more :)

Thanks again for coming back to re-read my guide, I appreciate that... A jungle Maokai doesn't sound bad actually, not sure how he would be able to do it, but I'll experiment for a little while and get back to you on that when I feel like I have a confirmed decision of whether or not it would work for what I've got going.
I'll try and see what Rylai's can do rather than the Frozen Mallet, and I'll list it under the optional in case someone agrees with you. Can never have to many options available, right?

Edit: Oh lol I misread your post... Maybe giving a Pro's/Cons listing of why Maokai is a good and bad jungler would be better.

WOW xD!!! Now here we have a VERY good guide, that is a lot easier to read :P

I have a question yet, you listed Frozen Mallet for alternative item choices, and in fact, I DO FIND IT a great item, but I just think that maokai can benefit a lot more from Rylai's.

Also, if you like the idea, say why not to jungle maokai (IMO it's important, but you're the maker, you decide it :P)

Lastly, I must really really really say:

THANK YOU!!!

It's VERY important to listen on critics, and I just loved how you PMed, thanking me for mine :P

You have a very very good guide and i hope to see it on the top 10 of Mobafire ^^ keep up the good work!

It's still good too know that though, maybe I'll put it earlier in the build since it can do that.

It only blocks skills that apply on-hit effects. Hence Parrrley, Mystic shot and a few others.

Lol thanks for the coding guide I was trying to find some of that. Didn't know Thornmail blocked Skills, thought it was just auto attacks...

I just thought they were taking out the runes, didn't know they were taking out the Ninja Tabi as well... Damn well guess I'll update that too.

Thanks for input you've given me, lots to chew over, but very nice, it helps us all become better guide writers, right? (No pun intended)

Well, you get an A for effort.

FYI, Thornmail works on skills like Parrrley and Mystic Shot.

Also dodge is being removed from the game so, you might want to think of alternates for Ninja Tabi soon.

Lastly, your guide lacks the coding that uhh.... "good" guides have.
This might help a bit.

Lol I've looked at your guide before and it's actually what made me start playing Maokai, used your build in a duo-lane (Once again) With a totally wacky rune build (Not lvl 30 quite yet and I didn't have any magic marks, it was all attack speed and cooldown times) and rocked with him. But yeah I did use your guide for when I first started, anyways that's not the point

I can't say much on the whole experience under the belt... Didn't know saplings could kill at lvl 3, I drew the lvl 4 sapling info from gameplay experience cause unless I get a kill in within the first 10 minutes I'm toast.

Yeah My player name is Dethanos just like this name XD

I'm not saying it's hard to get farm as Maokai, I'm saying that in a duo lane you have to share farm. This is a far more plausible build if you were in a solo lane such as mid or top.

Also, level 3 saplings can clear the back mage minions before 9:30 game time. Just a tip from an experienced, #2 Maokai guide owner. :D

EDIT: Probably not with your rune/mastery setup though.

One last EDIT before I leave you alone: Can I get your in game name? I want to see some things for an assessment.

Thanks for the input Lugig, still working on parts of the guide so yeah it's still somewhat incomplete with the Tips and Tricks Section and Item Choices but hey I'm working on it right? Your level 4 saplings should be enough to farm the mage minions in the back for a couple of levels so your getting at least 60 gold every minion wave. If you wish, you can simply switch Force of Nature/ Thornmail with the Warmogs so you do have the resistances, that's just personal preference I guess.
And remember it's still my first guide so it isn't going to be the best of the best, I'm not expecting it to be, It's just a start for me so I can't please everyone.
Back to Maokai and the Duo-lane. The problem without Duo-laning with him is that He can't gain his passive as quickly as he could if he was duo laning with someone like Karthus.
