Ur right. It isnt for "elite pwnzing". Mainly because you are designed to be a tank, not an all out killing machine. It is hard to Pwn noobs with this build unless you are just pubstomping the **** outta them. The point of this build / guide is to do your job as a tank and protect your teammates. You should be the first to die in a team fight. If you die and your team lives, you did your job. Unless of course your team doesnt pick up a couple kills. then you just fail. =3

But I would really like to hear some constructive criticism from you as to what i can do to make my strategy better.

Ghost is great. Idk why he wouldn't. I made a whole guide on Yi from ghostblade...

I must ask, why not take the free 6 armor pen instead of some of the other offensive masteries, you don't need AP in this build it looks like. CD is a little lower on the priorities I would think. Last whisper seems a little situational also, being that they need high armor or it's ineffective. +0.

Do you know why DEWO doesn't like the ghostblade? I mean, it looks like a really good item.

I tried your alistar build in a single game, and although I didn't do fantastic, I blame it on the 1-15 feeder who also happens to be my friend. I did, however, enjoy the build a lot. I didn't feel too squishy at all, and I love the way Alistar plays when he's DPS'ing and not tanking.

Also, if you'd be so kind, could you check out my recently posted 5-person AoE CC team build guide? It's my first guide, and I could use some helpful suggestions from a more experienced theory crafter.

This build is sooooooo great! I use it every single game now and Master Yi (or should I say Master G) is my favorite champ now thanks to you!

I got that comment ty. Try the Alistar build.

Yeah Im a lil stuck on Ghostblade. I use it on a lot of champs. Its just a great item to have. It has many uses, and its stats are great. I think the only one that cant stand Ghostblade is DEWO

I would think that Youmuu's is a good choice. I saw another Yi guide that abhorred the Ghostblade, but that may have been because the other items already maxed the attack speed. Here, however, Youmuu's would seem to fit quite nicely.
Also, I just tried out your Off-Tank Udyr build in Twisted Treeline. I absolutely loved it, and I will be commenting on it soon.

@trojan: Id put in a Ghostblade. Its got great stats, cheaper to make, and stacks with highlander. Cant beat that. Also adds to the ArP. Less armor means more DMG. Thats just me though.

Youo want AP Alistar, try my build. It works great and has a better heal. Not to mention no one expects him to hit like the bull he is.

Want an OT Udyr, try mine lol. Its got great burst, and good longevity.

@judubea

I think that Bloodthirster is a lil to expensive. One is enough dont you think? I mean it wouldnt get built as fast, and it might be built too late. Im not saying that its a bad idea, but its costly.

My Theory of Yi is, the sooner her gets started with cheaper items, the more effective he will be early and mid game. Thats where he shines, and thats where his focus should be IMO. Im not saying your words shouldnt be concidered, but Im just defending my PoV.

I said it in my post before, but I'll say it again - replace the Madred's with Bloodthirster. Takes you from hard to kill 1v1 to nearly invincible 1v1.

I use to believe that AP Yi wasn't very viable, then I played a few games with it. The amount of burst damage that Alpha gives combined with Meditate tank while Alpha is cooling is a fantastic combination.

On a side note, I hate making a lengthy reply and then having it deleted because I forgot to login... Happened twice now.

I would agree that most games would end long before madred's can be bought (at least with a well-played Yi), and is certainly situational. In that case, what item would you suggest one replace madred's with, in the event of a prolonged, tankless game? I pose this question to both you, Chaotic Bliss, and Dexto.
Also, I haven't had much success with Offtank Udyr. I'm exploring more options to find a really adequate build for him. I haven't tried AP Alistar yet, though I assume that'd classify him as support. When I play Tank Alistar, I generally get the feeling that I have less utility in a team fight than another viable tank, such as Shen or Rammus, but the moment when Alistar truly shines is when the team fight goes sour, and I can protect my allies from fast-moving chasing enemies using headbutt and pulverize. Alistar's ult might be useful during initiation, soaking up nearly every high-cooldown nuke the enemy can throw, but that lasts only 6 seconds and often times the enemy will nuke long past that point. Alistar's heal (when built like a tank, at the very least) is only marginally helpful to teammates, and his headbutt attack is mainly for initiation (or hitting a spinning garen :P ).

@trojan:

I dont play Ranked, that why I said what I did. I dont play much Ranked since I have so many friends that my best team mates are rarely on at the same time. I do solo, but I never take Yi into a 5v5 solo. Yi is a TT IMO. I just do better there. But when I do a ranked, I will grab a tanky champ. I like Alistar, but I cant play him tank lol. I like to use an OT Udyr for 5v5, AP Alistar, or Support Nidalee.

Madred's is great and is a must for teams that have tanks. I just dont let games get that far lol. My Yi in TT is a GG in less than /surrender time.

@jdubea

I cant play AP, but Ive seen some nasty ones out there. I like the exchange with them though. They nuke me with Alpha, and I return with a nasty Highlander/Ghostblade combo. They med through the abuse, and its start all over lol
