I checked out your build when I saw your post on Saintvicious' Jungle Yi guide and I gotta say this is pretty solid. Deserves an upvote imo.

Though you need to state a jungling order, this guide is probably the most sensible Yi build I've seen.

I'd recommend you to swap the FoN for a Banshee's though, he doesn't have too much health and the regeneration part isn't all that great when you have all your Wriggle's Lifesteal.

On Trinity Force and "too much defense." With this build the point is not to 2 shot enemy champions because your damage is so high. It is to kill and stop enemy carries from hurting your team. With any champion you must maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses. Yi does an excessive amount of damage with just Wuju Style Alpha Strike and Trinity. He is weak to cc (buy merc treads), he is VERY reliant on his MS, FoN and Trinity make it impossible to escape him. You will not be able to solo tanks with this build, but you never could, what you will be able to do is survive an initial cc and still kill their scariest carry (which is what wins you the game).

Why should I change my runes? I figured it was pretty obvious that I don't think you can have 6 quints and 18 glyphs. I'm showing the possible routes you can go with runing as I explain in the Runes section. I run with 28 ArP through runes and masteries which is not the best for early game jungling, but is the best for ganking enemy champions. Also with the seals, you can go either dodge, armor, or health per 5 as they all increase jungle survivability. With Glyphs I go CDR because I use no cdr items as Yi is not very CDR reliant, but I do like to have a little bit. Magic resist per level are also a very viable route if you feel you do not need the small increase to cdr.

Ahhh ok you didn't really explain that in your build, but I see. Armor pen and armor runes are pretty much the best runes you'll ever buy. Armor Pen cause they scale well all game, and Armor because they're cheap and useful on almost any build.
I love playing carries :) But when I played yi I played AP at first. Same for Poppy.
But your guide was pretty in depth and I liked it. Good first build.

With the Quints I was just showing your options. I go ArP, which gives me 28 ArP after masteries. 28 is overkill in the jungle but way better for ganks. If you're having trouble downing Red buff on first run you can always go with AS Quints for a healthy early jungle boost.

Mistake on quints? But otherwise a solid build and I can see why it's done so well for you.
