This is my first guide in mobafire! And its all about Master Yi! I loveMaster Yi because of this GREAT DAMAGE in early game. Master Yi can do 300 damage in lvl 2! You think im crazy? see below in chapter '' DEADLY COMBOS ''. Like i say before is my first guide so please be nice :P. Also sorry for mistakes in the language i am from Greece and my English is not the best.

Keeper of the ancient art of Wuju, Master Yi is a mystical warrior from the isle of Ionia. He descended from one of the few tribes dedicated to the preservation of Wuju, a martial art founded with the principles of absolute spiritual awareness of one's self and one's enemy. When the armies of Noxus invaded Ionia, Master Yi joined in the Ionian defense to fight the craven enemy, bringing his village honor through his unparalleled mastery of the blade. The ensuing battles ravaged the land, but no conflict inflicted as much horror as the day the armies of Noxus closed in on Yi's village. Left undefended, the village became the unfortunate test subject of the latest invention by an up-and-coming chemist, now known as Singed. The remains of the village that Master Yi returned to were so horrific that it remains a festering scar on Ionian history. To this day, no Ionian will ever publicly speak of what occurred.
After the Noxian invasion was contained, Master Yi fell into a deep isolation. For years, he trained morning to night, speaking to no one and refusing offers of consolation by fellow Ionians. The only thing stopping him from madly charging into Noxus battle lines headfirst was his pledge to keep the Wuju style alive. Even though he seethed with impatience, his rage became a tool for sharpening his practice of Wuju, developing stronger and deadlier skills for his eventual vengeance. The only thing that roused him was news of the League's formation, and Noxus's subsequent enrollment in the League. Master Yi now brings his mastery of the blade to the League of Legends with unflinching purpose: to avenge his kinfolk and end the predations of the Noxus once and for all.

*Awesome Attack Speed
*Free critical in 7th attack (Your 7th attack can crit if you have crit items ;) )
*ALL YOUR SPELLS 0 CD IF YOU KILL 1 CHAMP WITH YOUR ULT!!! (Many people doesn't realize how *BOSS is that ult passive. more in ''DEADLY COMBOS'' chapter)
*Nice pusher
*Hard to tower dive with meditate open (Who tower dive

yi?!)


CONS

*Squishy
*No CC
*Hard against CC (Like many others AD Chaps)
*No escape mechanism before lvl6

WellMaster yi as you see has more PROS than cons...But still cons are cons and we must counter the cons to be perfect.

SQUISHY

To counter this CON we build early a phage. Phage also cover the half no cc con because of the slow passive. Phage gives HEALTH and AD! Just perfect item forYi. Phage later be our Frozen Mullet.

NO CC

Bad thing for any champ. The only CC we can made for Yi is the slow by Phage and Frozen Mullet .

HARD AGAINST CC
That is easy. We can do a lot of things to counter the heavy CC. The only bad, really bad against yi CC is STUN. The reason is: STUN can stop meditate. If you are turret dive ofc you still can be untergetable with your alpha strike but its not the same like team fights. In team fights all focus on you... They stun you. So what you can do for it? BUY ITEMS!. Mercury Threats, Banshee Veil, Quick Silver Sash. This items can help a lot. more in items and teamfigh chapter.

NO ESCAPE MECHANISM
This is covered through summoner spells. Ghost or flash can cover that con...

Like i say before NO ESCAPE MECHANISM! So i take 1 escape spell - GHOST or FLASH- and 1 chasing- def spell -EXHAUST or IGNITE.

I prefer exhaust and ghost because EXHAUST helps a lot for First Blood and 1v1 and GHOST because i don't like to waste my ult to escape.

LANE - STARTING ITEMS
In the start you have to choose a way offense or defense. Master Yi with full AD Runes wuju style and dorans blade can start with 108 AD AT LVL 1!

The other way (that i choose) is to start with boots. Yes you have less damage, yes you have less health but you are safer. Boots and pots is the best way to start in my opinion. Believe if the enemy start with boots and you with a doran you are dead. Why? Necause you cant escape from them they just exsaust or ignite you. Better ignite you than exhaust you. Exhaust cut your damage in the half! awful start. And what if their jungle gank? You have still the ghost with you? if you have waste it to escape from the enemy you are dead...WHAT TO DO THEN?

BUY BOOTS AND POTS gives more laning sustain than dorans. I recomend dorans blade only if you have the runes of vampirism. REALLY EXPENSIVE RUNES. 3 of them costs like a 6300 ip champ. Anyway YOU CHOOSE YOUR PATH...


After that go strait to zeal. You dont have to finish your boots bcs zeal provide you AS ans MS. Now you can go to finish boots. Then PHAGE and then start your way to phantom...


Phantom provides AS MS CS! What Yi needs... If you are faster its hard to harass you and you can dodge skills like ezreal mystic shot or this f***** blitz hand.

Now after you get kills using the below combos (or assist - nvm) go and buy B.F SWORD.

You can follow my build but care i have situation items. If you see for e.x enemies buys armor early buy first the last whisper and then finish your frozen mullet. Or if they have heavy AP team buy banshee or another MR item after the phantom. SEE THE SITUATION ITEM CHAPTER!!!!!!.

THE FUN PART.

A lot of people believe Master Yi is useles with no combos...WRONG!.
Master Yi can do 300 at lvl 2!.

BURST DAMAGE COMBO: (lv2)

Stuck your 7th attack -->Alpha Strike in enemy --> Hit him with your double strike -->Activate Wuju Style - FB (FB if the enemy is harassed it works great in ad carries)

(Activate wuju style after double strike if you activate while you are in alpha strike you cancel the double strike)

1 v 2 DOUBLE KILL COMBO (lvl5 - lvl6)

Stuck your 7th attack --> BURST DAMAGE COMBO (Kill the one with the lowest health- the other or run away or) -->Meditate --> Alpha strike -->7th attack--> active wuju style--> Double kill!

With your ult its almost sure double always. Dont do this in an enemy with stun. Anyway i have do this against a blitz and and a GP and i get 3 times double! Without your ult don,t forget its risky but still you can do it!

1V5 PENTA KILL COMBO! (FULL BUILD LVL18 ONLY - BLOODTHIRSTER MUST INCLUDED)

Since your ult all you abilities after kill a champ go at 0 cd!. What this means? YOU ARE INVISIBLE! Alpha strike grants you untergetable effect (stealth assasin) what to do?

ULT-->ALPHASTRIKE (the squishier- KILL HIM) -->ULT -->ALPHASTRIKE (the squishier - KILL HIM) -->ULT--> Kill them one by one fast as possible... leave tank last (hopfully not rammus or malph) DONT BELIEVE ME? LOOK:

Well in team fightsYi must go before the assasin or if your team have not assasin you go last after the tank ofc. The reason is siply you are squishy, and countered by CC. So if you get in fight 1st you die 1st...

Focus in enemy carry and other high damage dealers like ap carrys e.x brand or gragas...
Never focus in enemies with hight durability like Warwick, Vladimir or tanks ofc like Volibear, Mundo etc. Focus in high damage dealer with hard CC like Zyra or Xerath.
