*The good thing about put the phantom dancer as a iteam in a master yi Ap build; is that u can sell the boots in the end (if u bought Lich Bane) and u still got 409 movement speed, you have very high attack speed and movement speed if u combine with ultimate, finishing the enemy off and then the CD is restored. Thanks to critical u also gain higher lifesteal and damage when you want to last hit the small amount of hp left.
Very fun to play
Fixed the problem "Minimal DPS after using alpha strike and lich bane" now he's doing quite good Dps after using his abilitys
CC disrupts his meditate
Great farm as well
CC destroys him
The runes I chose are pretty standard.
Mag pen marks - more damage
Ap seals - more damage
CDR glyphs - lets you spam your skills more since they are on such long cooldowns
Ap glyphs - more dmg
Mag pen quin - more damage
Ap quin - more damage
Quick Skill Explanations
Q - Alpha Strike - click on a target minion/champion, you will strike that target and 3 other nearby targets before returning to the enemy you clicked. 1:1 AP ratio.
Your main skill as AP Yi, great burst, great AP ratio, great harr*** and farm
W - Meditate - click and channel for 5 seconds, healing and gaining armor and mres. 1:1.65 AP ratio
Great defensive and survivability skill. Allows you to lane for a really long time as well as giving you the sense that you have double the amount of HP that you really do.
E - Wuju Style - passively gains attack damage, actively doubles the passive amount. On cooldown the passive is negated
Makes Yi have an amazing attack damage without items, pretty useful with lichbane
R - Highlander - increases movement and attack speed, ignores all slows, upon killing an enemy champ you refresh all cooldowns, upon getting an assist, you reduce your cooldowns in half.
This is what allows you to get pentakills. Refreshes all your cooldowns while increasing your chasing and dps. This is also what allows you to be uncatchable.
Masteries and Summoner Spells
i usually prefer to spec my 21 points in Offense for most possibly dmg.
but have two diffrent ways of my own to spec; you can go with the one i have listed or 21/9/0
which is all the same spec in offense, but in defense i suggest to specc 3 in armor, 1 in magit resistance, 4 in hp per lvl and then 30 health if u dont want to be so squishy in early game
For summoner spells:
Ghost - quick getaway, chasing, even more speed to ur ult
Ignite - Finish off enemies you couldn't with your alpha strike and lich bane
Flash - Surprise nuking and turret diving. Interchange with ghost
Doran's ring: A great item to start off with. Gives you AP, mp regen, and HP
Sorcerer's shoes: More mag pen. Nuff said
Rabadon's deathcap: "aka The hat" This is one of the two major items on AP Yi. It gives him 202 AP by ITSELF. With the rest of your AP items you will become ridiculously strong.
Mejai's soulstealer: If you're owning face, this is the item to get. More AP and a chance for more CDR? I think so.
Lich bane: You're second major item. Everything you want is in this item: AP, MP, MRes, Movement speed, AND after your alpha strike you deal your AP as additional damage on your next auto attack.
Rylai's scepter: If you find yourself too squishy, get a Rylai's. It gives you AP, HP, and a 4 target slow.
Voidstaff: You're opponents are getting smart and stacking mres since you're too clutch? Get a voidstaff and they'll see what you did thar.
Deathfire grasp: AP, MP regen, CDR, and EVEN MORE BURST! If you don't need the hp from rylai's i definately recommend getting this.
Hextech Gunblade: lifesteal and attack damage and spell vamp = heal a bunch
morello's evil tome: is a good iteam with AP, MP regain, CDR.
