A little bit too much AS. YOu will be over AS cap anyway. but...
I am considering ONLY the 1st option you mentioned in item build. If you face a team without a tank... than that team must suck bigtime.
Rushing Bloodrazor isnt that great idea. It is VERY costy, and you will probably start building it with razors.
You will lack ALOT of AS in lvls 1-6 and when ulti will be on cd. You will probably get your bloodrazor done at about lvl 8-10 if played normaly... that is waaaaay to late for item like this to be vital on Yi. To be effective tiwh razor you need the AS, to get those procs FAST. After that you are building malady... well i must agree that Malady is not the best item to buy on lvls 10+. I would suggest even dropping the Lifesteal and go for PD right away. That PD at the end will give you absolutly nothing at that mark.
Skill odrer and runes are okish.
Masteries... that one is kinda.... wierd... we know you are squishy, and masteries will not change that so why focus on it? you are dropping all his potential into dust.
PS. Dont spam the forums.
@ Hockeygod
TBH Malady is one of the best starting items ingame. It is waaay cheaper and faster obtainable than Stark, it might not be as good as stark but the speed you can get it is realy needes on those 1st items. It is ez affordable. low priced components will get you boosted slowly but steadily. Unlike stark that requires bow that cost over 1000g in 1 piece. Malady passive also is great on fast hitting champions like Yi. He gets the AS cap easil so he will diliver passive VERY fast.
So if you state something like this please at least write WHY you think you are right on the matter. Everyone can say "this item sucks, coz i say it, me the pr0 elo gamer!"
I spec nimble as well even if i dont go for PD right away.
Runes + dodge mastery = 8% anyway. I think its more needed than some hp/mp regen and some exp.
Malady is a great item, and since both builds involve a vamp scepter, you can just pay a little extra to make that into malady. Hence you are ******ed for saying "Malady is a horrible item, period".
Riot is very good at making this game balanced. Items/Champs/Runes/Ect.
Wish these people that think they know what they are talking about would play with a build before they rate it.

This is the voice of reason. Listen to it.
As you don't have any crit chance (no runes, only IE with items because PD comes too late), i would no get IE. Make Black Cleaver first, you're AS base, this kinds of passive are your heaven. If you really want IE, get PD first or get a full crit chance rune page (this last choice is really an option you have to consider, 20% crit chance at lvl 1 with Yi is awesome).
@hockey
"why spec nimbleness with no ninja tabi or phantom dancer in main item spec? "
8.75% dodge from runes + masteries (enough to get the speed buff when focused by creeps), + PD (about 25% total). Yi needs so much AS early game that Berserker can't be an option. You can change them to Ninja after, when you have 2 other AS items, but you need them at the beginning (and rarely have to change).
Also it makes no sense, you say if ur up against a tank, dont use last whisper, and if you arent up against a tank, use last whisper. thats *** backwards.
why spec nimbleness with no ninja tabi or phantom dancer in main item spec?
