Master Yi Build Guide by gam60v6r

This Guide is still in the making, But i thought i post it already for some revieuws

well, the problem with glasscannon master yi is that he dies in seconds. He's always focused and exhaused 24/7 in teamfights. When following this build you will die before even dealing damage.

Think about quicksilversash - to take off all exhausts, ignites, morde's ulti, stuns, everything + very descent magic resist for small cost
Think about triforce, after kill cooldowns refresh, after alpha you get massive extra damage, and a little bit of health and slow.
Think about ninja tabi - you got enough of attackspeed and do not need zerkers graves, and lack a lot of defense (which is essential for melee champions) and ninja tabi provides a lot of it
Think about wriggles lantren early, it's extremly cost efficent item, for 1600 gold only you get a lot of positive things, later on sell it for bloodthirster

Last thing - runes got their primary and secondary effects. And using the wrong category for wrong kind of runes is always inefficent.

RED MARKS - offensive edge
YELLOW SEALS - defensive shield
BLUE GLYPHS - magic force
QUINTESSENCES - always best in all

so don't use attackspeed seals, you get only 7% attackspeed, that's not even noticable difference, that's 1 extra attack each 15 attacks at 1st level, even after buyng dagger (not even talking about 2 phantom dancer) you won't even notice a difference. Red marks are way better for attackseepd, you just waste runes that way. Use armor seals instead, you gain 13 armor that way, that makes you have 2 times more armor at lvl 1, and even later on it's like 20% more armor - you say you are squishy? then do something with it, not only say it.

And attack damage per level is never good, no matter what type of runes, seals, marks, only flat AD is good, because it gives huge difference at lvl 1, later on you won't even feel difference of either flat AD or AD per level, so it's better to at least feel it early, right ? And if so, don't use it as glyphs, it's better to take magic resist glyphs (yes, magic resist is primary effect for glyphs) so you can fix your squishyness.



Generally, build like that works only against weak enemies, without brain, or just noobs, competetive enemies will just exhast you, making you unable to deal any damage, and then stun you and finish off with just 1 burst.

Make use of my suggestions, try it, and check if you feel better with more defensive master yi. Glasscannon master yi usually wins against other squishies, but always looses to offtannks, champions like Poppy or Shyvana always will eat him alive.

work on it more, learn more, test more, give some options, alternatives, make your build better.

why too offensive build and skill. wont work in a real game or lets better say ranked. ofc this build might provide u with tons of damage, but as soon as the enemy team will focus you with just 5% of their brain, they will eat u alive.
better invest some items which will give u some survivability. (sorry i dont have an english client and dont know the names)
the same with the runes, u dont need that much of attack damage and speed, u will get enough from your items.
dont get me wrong, i think its easy to make the perfect guide and u did a great effort that is for sure.
hope u do better in the future or read over your guide again.

This build seems like it could work if you play Yi as an assassin. You'll get steamrolled in team-fights, though =P

Seems better that runes now, although i still think Master Yi doesn't need attackspeed to be built with marks as you have a lot of that stat from ultimate, while armor penetration runes always work for any type of physical damage dealer and synergizes a lot with his damage, attackspeed and - critical strikes with this build. How much does armor penetration give? Well, a lot. If you shreed squishie's armor by, say 20 it grants earlygame like 17% more damage, and later on around 6%. I mean total physical damage.

Now items build gives enough survivability to bare lesser hate from your target's defenders - keep in mind that armor/mres increases efectivness of lifesteal as every point of health stolen needs more tamage to be taken away, here you got a lot of lifesteal so it's good synergy i'd say.

Good idea to use madred's bloodrazor to utilize a lot of your attackspeed, and also add some armor.
