Introduction

After Master Yi's patch his abilities have all been changed to only deal Physical Damage. Even if Riot ment to nerf Yi, the Wuju Bladesman has been made stronger. He has an insane damage and he is untouchable in Teamfight with his resets. Alpha Strike and its reset is the main reason for not playing him as an attack-speed hero anymore. In this guide I wil show you how to play an Off-Tank Yi who can easily explode the enemy team in fights and snowballs perfectly.

Runes

In general I recommend using Armor Pen. reds, Armor yellows and Magic Resist blues. Added with Lifesteal Quints you have good laning power in terms of Sustain and Resistances. You also get a bigger late game Alpha Strike threat with Armor Penetration. If you want a bit more early game power you can use Physical damage reds and quints. Personally I dont like to use Physical damage runes because my Items stack enough Damage and you get extra AD with Wuju Styles's passive. If you lane against a physical damage dealer you can also use Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs instead of Flat MR.

Masteries

I prefer 21 in Offense, 9 in Defense and 0 in Utility. Some people migth even use 9 points in Utility instead of Defense. If you take 9 points in Utility make sure to be the mid laner so you can benefit of the longer Buffs and the higher Mana regeneration. If jungling you need to use Defense with one point into Summoner's Resolve.
