Master Yi Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
PLEASE READ: this is my first build ive posted to the world I know its not the best build in the world but it works out around 90% of the time I will improve this build as i improve my own build, a few tweaks here and there to make an all round high DMG output yi
COMMENT ANY CHANGES U THINK I SHOULD MAKE ILL TRY THEM AND SEE :)
early game as most people find master yi can grab a few quick kills and do some pretty good dps but then late game they find he isnt the biggest help in a team fight, what i usually do for big team fight mid or late game wether its 5v5 or 5v4 is wait for the fight to start then with low cooldown from my runes i use wuju style and alpha strike on the closest enemy, alpha strike insures some good damage early on if you notice the enemy team is sort of low on hp(below half on most of them) then quickly use highlander then a alpha strike on their lowest hp player after then first kill all your spell CD will be gone due to highlander and alpha strike would have done a little bit of dmg to the other members of their team so if you feel the need activate highlander again run in and grab the last few kills insuring a team fight that will end in your teams favour and in your favour due to the triple or even quad that u may get, even the assists are nice because you really are being more of a player that leans the team fight in your teams favour after which you guys will be able to insure a good push through a lane or lay back and farm a little
Farming with master yi is pretty simple, early game have alpha strike at lvl 1 and get into a push once minions have spawned and made their way up to you stay in the push and keep alpha striking the minion nearest to you if their is any enemy champ. near by this will also do slight dmg to them and after a while it will cause them to have to use their potions alot faster then you, the only problem with this strategy is your mana, thus the reason i use mana runes but also at the start some times it helps to go boots 2 HP pots and 1 mana or 1 HP pot and 2 mana (your choice) this will keep you in the lane usually long enough to get you highlander and then start picking up a few of those needed early game kills (remember if you see a enemy champ. or staying his welcome in YOUR lane early on dont hesitate to give him a little scare by alpha striking right on him thus killing him or making him think twice before he decides to stay in your lane at low hp
Pros / Cons
Pros: The pros of this build and set up is defiantly the dps output you will have over your enemys, at lvl 18 you will have well over 350 AD and around 2 atk spd plus about 30-40% life steal making you 1 hell of a scary player in the lanes
cons: The cons of this build is going to have to be your magic resist and defence, in this build you truly sacrifice defence for offence but i always say the best defence is a good offence but who knows you might want to throw in a lil defence and magic resist here and there to make u more resistant but for me i enjoy some high DPS
