I like, its like my mid build sona.
@AGGRESSIVE Redditor
I like his items, Nonsquishy, mana heavy. I like it, Although i dont usually get RoA, it also gives mana along with the Hp items. And the archangels i get everygame. The Evil tome gives her CD and much needed Mana regen, and The normal Rabadon and socrerer's shoes. She has very high AP, making her Lich bane awsomely more awsome (and more awsome than that awsome). In the end, it works much better than your build probably. Unless you get 2 archangels, Void, Rbadon, Shoes, and Lich. and somewhat Ap per lv runes: This build is far superiour.

Sadly your basing off my build that i have been planning to change for a while (but too lazy). But I will answer your "explanations" I don't get late RoA anymore. I get it After morellos. And for morrelos, THOUGH I would love to get blue, you gotta admit. Theres better AP carrys out there like LeBlanc or Brand, and if you did have blue buff with morrelos you would have max cdr which is 40%. And thats where AA staff comes in, with that your Q, W ,E will have about a 1-6 second cdr. And I don't know what you have been playing. BUT Sona spams a lot of spells mid and late game. Where theres a lot of teamfights. And sona can burn 195 with all 3 of her spells, with about a 1-6 second u can burn about 500 mana between 1 second and 1 minute. thats 50% of AA staff. Your last thing is rush line bane...I don't do this anymore sadly. I should update it now after this comment though before people get confused.

- Archangel's Staff is terrible. Because it gives so much mana itself at full charge, the conversion rate of mana to AP is low, and it doesn't sync with high mana items that it should sync with. It takes a while to charge making the mana pool purely a mid to late game benefit by which point you will have levels and more regen and other items. Sona's spells are also a flat 65 mana per cast at all levels which makes a higher mana pool unnecessary.
- Late RoA is pointless. Early Catalyst into RoA or don't bother at all. You want HP and AP together? Build Rylai's so you can slow with Q too.
- Morello's Tome? Really? That's for supports who don't get blue buff, not for AP carries.
- You rush Lich Bane without having enough AP to make it do more damage than a Sheen.

@ Aggresive redditor.

Please explain why, instead of just voting no and saying a horrible reason why its bad. This way I can explain to you why it works. Or are you just voting down so you could get your guide up?

I love AP Sona, but your items make no sense.

Hey i have to disagree with your down vote, i mean runes are something of your own, its an opinion, each summoner should have their own idea for runes, and a guide is only a way of playing a champion, either if your looking for a new way to play her or just want some general idea of the champion. BUT i can understand your down vote i just don't agree to it

First of all, as I said, you don't have to take my runes man. Its just that in my opinion. I prefer that, also. Yes. flat AP is better until level 12. But level 12 is still about 8-23 minutes into the game depending on how much you were farming and if you have no kills. And still around that time. You using your money on buying non AP items like tear of the goddess or shoes, and even people buy meki pendant before tome just for that extra mana regen. So about that level 12 ull until have about...A tome20+AP And your runes will still be worth it, THAT in my opinion is better than flat.

Thats your opinion but....I did add in my glyph and quints and it does stack. Independant, Yes. Flat AP is better than Ap/level until about level 9-13. But if I added in my glyphs. Its a different story. Also, basing off your review from just 1 rune is sad, its my opinion that you should take it. You don't need to though. You can be flexible with my build.

P.S this is a game, you shouldn't try to control the way people think. Let them be creative and have fun. And if you wanna be serious then be serious though, i am not stopping you.

AP/LvL Quints + AP/Lvl glyphs = 2.82 ap at level 1, 50.76 ap @ level 18.

AP Quints + AP/Lvl glyphs = 16.38 ap at level 1, 42.39 ap @ level 18.

So, at level 1, you have 13.5 extra ap, and you lose out on 8ap late game.

Flat AP are superior for 99% of AP carries, Sona being one of them.

You catch up to level 12, and by then, you're outside of the area where runes will have a significant effect on your gameplay.

I only down voted because AP/LvL Quints are 100% bad.

Mathematically, your rune choice is bad, and you try to explain it away with a logical fallacy.

I'm sorry, but that is worthy of a down vote in my opinion, and that's what my downvote is, an opinion.

AP per level quints.

You can't add in your glyphs to try and say that Flat AP is worse than AP/lvl.

Flat AP Quints are far superior to AP/lvl quints.

I'm down voting because i don't want people to read this guide and think that they should go buy AP/Lvl quints.
