With all the recent changes to the game lately I thought I would share my ap Mf build, try it and let me know how you like it.
For runes I suggest using AP per level Marks, Seals, and Glyphs, and Move speed quints. It allows for maximum mobility (Synergizing with her passive and initiator) as well as a boost to your overall damage output.
My item build maximizes damage but leaves her lacking in the defense department. Going 21 in the defense tree gives her a much needed boost in that aspect. With initiator and her passive she has an enormous starting speed and when you have your enemies on the run they will not be able to get away. Going 8 in the utility increases the movement boost and helps with getting away when you're taking damage, seeing as her passive and initiator are negated by damage. The 1 point in Offense is my personal preference as I run exhaust and ghost for summoner spells but feel free to move it around to suit your play style.
A health crystal to start ensures survivability and will throw off anyone not familiar with the build. Next you will want your boots for obvious reasons. I chose to go with cooldown reduction to maximize it when Nashor's is built. Next build your crystal into a catalyst as you'll find your mana to be a bit on the low side, also the heal on lvl doesn't hurt either. Once that is done it is time to boost your attack speed. Buy daggers and build them into malady then build stinger and build it into nashor's. Malady stacking with impure shots amd the cooldown reduction, ap, and mana regen from nashor's will help a ton. Finish off your ROA at this point for more hp and mana then depending on which you need more build either Rabadons or the Gunblade.
My build completely ignores Double up until late game as it does not gain anything from the build until you get your gunblade and you will do much better focusing on Make it rain and Impure shots. Max make it rain first, it helps greatly with lane control, protects you from being chased and slows your enemies to keep them in your ult longer. I take impure shots at level 2 and max it second. When you have finished your attack speed items and pop impure shots you'll nearly max your attack speed, cutting down enemies like paper. It is also extremely useful for shutting down healing so you can leave ignite out of your build. Put points into Bullet time whenever possible and use it liberally to along with Make it rain to maximize damage. It can be extremely useful when enemies are hugging their tower.
For summoner spells I take Exhaust and Ghost to help keep people near or to easily escape any situation. You can however try out any combination you like. Surge is a good choice in lieu of exhaust if you find your starting attack speed lacking, and the boosted ap works well with the build.
This build relies heavily on map awareness. Buy wards, watch your mini map, pay attention to mias. I find it works better with a laning partner to help split the damage you will be taking and can almost guarantee you get first blood (Depending on how the other lanes manage). You should be playing quite aggressively, keeping your lane pushed right to their tower. The tower will steal gold from the enemy and make it rain will keep them pushed back. I can't stress this enough however.... WARDS ARE MANDATORY WITH THIS PLAY STYLE, you have been warned. Also make sure to communicate with your team and keep them up on your tactics.
Some people have issues with pushing your lane but it works.
