Introduction to Miss Fortune
Hello everyone, I see that you have an interest in playing with Miss Fortune. She was the first character I ever bought in league of legends, and also my favorite. I love being able to destroy people quickly :D. Anyways, this is my first build, so please give me constructive criticism and comment. I know this build isn't perfect, but it's helped me win a lot of games with her :).
- Good harasser
- Good pusher
- Passive makes her an extremely quick character
- Once she gets hit by anything, including minions, her passive stops.
- Squishy, you will be targeted by enemies.
- Low mana pool in the beginning.
- Needs to have good positioning.
Preferred summoner spells:
I believe that exhaust and flash are a great way to chase, or escape from enemies. Other summoner spells that are quite useful include teleport, ghost, and clairvoyance (to stop being ganked.)
Q Double Up - Miss Fortune fires a shot at an enemy target, dealing X (+.75 of her attack damage) as physical damage and 115% of that damage to another enemy target behind the first target.)
This skill is EXTREMELY helpful in harassing your lane enemy. This skill is extremely fun to use against champions who stand behind their minions. When taking mid (or any other lane), it's helpful to know when to use it. I prefer to use it when they least expect it. For example, I'm just trying to last hit the minions and then BAM, used double up on the last minion -> bounced to the champion.
W Impure Shots - Passive: Increases Miss Fortune's damage on her target by X (+AP ratio) with each attack, cumulatively stacking up to 4 times.
Active: Miss Fortune's attack speed is increased by Y% for 6 seconds and causes her attacks to lower healing received by the target by 50%
This skill gives you an advantage when 1 v 1 with other champions, and helps you destroy turrets quicker. ALWAYS, ALWAYS use this when attacking turret.
E Make it Rain: Miss Fortune fires hundreds of bullets into the air which rain down at a location after 0.5 seconds, dealing X (+AP ratio) magic damage over 2 seconds and slowing enemies hit by Y% for 1.5 seconds.
This is your so-so skill. It helps you check bushes and slows down enemies when fleeing/chasing, but it doesn't do much damage. Don't waste your mana on this skill early game.
R Bullet Time : Miss Fortune channels a barrage of bullets into a cone in front of her for 2 seconds, dealing X plus the higher value between (AP ratio) or Y magic damage per bullet, hitting up to 8 times to each target.
This ultimate can either help you win a team fight, or lose it. The key position is to try to hide behind your teammates, or go in a nearby bush and ult them for surprise. If they take it in the full duration, they're guaranteed to have lost at least 1/2 of their max HP just from this one skill. However, any stun, disable will stop your ultimate, so be careful.
Passive: Strut - Miss Fortune gains an additional 25 movement speed after falling out of combat for 7 or more seconds, increasing each second up to 70 maximum bonus speed.
This passive, in my opinion is quite useful. This means you can start out with 370 movement speed at level 1, which is quick, but once you get hit you're back down to 300 for another 7 seconds.
The core items include Merc. treads + bloodthirster + phantom dancer + infinity edge.
The rest are a bit situational. I usually go for banshee's veil for obvious reasons. If their team is tanky, get a bloodrazor. If you need find the reason that you need to slow down someone and you need more hp, get a FM. If you believe that you need more arm. pen you can get a Black Cleavers.
Laning with Miss Fortune
While playing Miss Fortune for some time, I find that taking mid has its benefits. During early-mid game, you have a level advantage over the duo laning enemies, and more money to buy your core item build. However, if you cannot take mid, it's okay to lane with a partner as well, preferably either tank/support to give you extra boost.
It's absolutely necessary to last hit minions, ALL the time. If you don't have your items, you're not going to be an effective carry late game. Try to build up your bloodthirsters for its maximum effect as soon as possible. Also, don't waste any of your mana on Make it rain. All you should be doing is last hitting minions, and harassing the other team with double up.
Now it's about mid game, and you have built your boots and bloodthirsters. You should try to get blue/red buffs if possible. The extra slow and mana regen can help you tremendously in a team fight. People are starting to group together now, and keep in mind that you are squishy. Don't do a 1 v 2 unless you have backup. Never, ever, go in a team fight first.
Late game - you should be building towards your infinity's edge, and have completed your bloodthirsters. If your team is winning, go for Baron to get an extra attack boost, and PUSH. If your team is losing, you might want to organize a team fight carefully, and pray to get an ace so you can push freely. During late game, Miss Fortune is a BEAST at pushing and can take turrets down in about 10 seconds with the help of impure shots. Late game and mid game are basically the same, with improved items. Just be careful when it comes to team fights; always stay behind the tank.
