Chapter I: Introduction

Introduction
Teemo
Hi my name is MLG LesterXD, also known as LesterXD123 at the North America server. I love playing Teemo and I have played with him 500+ games and it is easy to have him controlled but hard to master. You could master him so easily but hard to execute plays. I hope you learn how to Teemo when you finished the guide.

Chapter II: Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons
>Great 1v1
>Mobile
>Can kite
>Ranged
Pros

Explanation:
>>Teemo is ranged bully at Top lane. He has an excellent kiting and poking at the start. When he reaches level 6,he know start placing mushrooms to make it a minefield. His Q, Blinding Dart protects him from the poke of the auto-attack champions like Quinn or Tryndamere to make him safe. Move Quick is used to extend the poke from the fleeing enemies. It can be also like a little ghost which boost you up always when activated and like a free boots when not. Your poison which makes you a great top laner is deadly which can kill many champion together with your camouflage. Your Noxious Trap also grants you a vision so when you are being ganked you have the vision that they will start the gank.
Cons

>Squishy
>Item reliant
>500 range
>Poor positioning
Explanation:
>>Teemo is a very squishy champion. He needs a perfect positioning to poke hard and kill somebody. For the new ones to playing Teemo, it is hard because if we are wrong in positioning they can poke us and can kill us to death. He is very weak in the earlies and get his first power spike if he has the core items he needed. His range is low and can be harassed by a gap closer champions like Darius or Jax. His ultimate noxius trap is not a direct ultimate to the enemies. It needed to be step on by the enemies to deal massive amount of damage and be low. Sometimes your traps is easy to be killed if they know your tactics so change the way of placing your mushrooms everytime when one of your traps exploded.

Chapter III: Upsides and Downsides

Upsides and Downsides

Upsides:

camouflage- Great Passive: Camouflage
This can set up kills and can be an escape mechanisms when you're low. You can move through the bush without being seen and you can setup a kill there. You can also steal dragon , rift herald and also baron nashor if they can't see you when they're doing it.

-Kiting Mechanisms
When you want to 1v1 with you're enemy, you should be a good kiting champion. When you're good at kiting the enemy will chase you and use your W, the get out of jail free card when you're in a unfavorable situations. The enemies will cry out of you as you kite them and sometimes forfeit because of you.

-What makes you a god of the game: Poison
Take this at every time at level 1 and you have the power surging through you're blowgun. You could kill anyone with this passive and it helps you to farm so easily and you could be a god for this because it scales well with your AP items and sometimes you could 2-3 shot a champion with this.

-Champions that are very low will die at this: Bombs
This what's make you a respectable character in game you could chunk down their health to half and sometimes kill them. You could farm with these and make it easier for you to last hit the minions. Also, the bombs grant you a vision, so you know when someone is ganking. It also grants a slow, so when you're being chased use that to stop them or slow them from killing you.

-Flexible and viable builds
You can be a Troll Lord, a One shot god of poisons, a Tank with still damage, a Splitpusher, an Assasin, and many more. With so many builds with Teemo you can win every match-up that is hard and it will become easy.

-Low price Champion
Teemo cost 1350IP and it is so easy to buy him. You can earn him just for one day and you're good to go. You can dominate the whole game early and kill champions so easily if properly played.

Downsides:

-Too manly for you
Other players don't play Teemo because it is too hard for them. They can feed a lot to their enemies and just surrendered to them. I've experienced this many times but it can be controlled if played right.

-The Kit
Teemo is a close ranged champion. His kit are easy but no stuns, no knock-ups, and his only choice is the blind. He has just the poison that do nothing to the enemies. He has a blowgun and just shoots bullets and that's is all for them, but in reality there is many ways how to play a successful Teemo.

-Squishy
Teemo has no Crowd Control. When he is immobilized by other champions, there is nothing that we can do and just die. He can be one shotted by assasins and be like a free kill to them. But in a Safe play, you could build a tanky item but has a potential to kill them also. Teemo can be built offensively or defensively, it's your choice.

-Weak before he has the items
This is what seperates the good Teemo players to the bad ones. A good Teemo can dominate the early game even if he has only a starting item. A bad Teemo can be a free kill in the early game and just feed the whole enemy team.

Chapter IV: Lore

Lore

Skip it if you know Teemo's lore.

Teemo is a legend among his yordle brothers and sisters in Bandle City. As far as yordles are concerned, there is something just slightly off about him. While Teemo enjoys the companionship of other yordles, he also insists on frequent solo missions in the ongoing defense of Bandle City. Despite his genuinely warm personality, something switches off inside Teemo's mind during combat so that the lives he must end while on patrol do not burden him. Even as a young recruit, the drill instructors and other trainees found it a little disconcerting that, while Teemo was normally charming and kind, he turned deadly serious and highly efficient the minute combat exercises began. Teemo's superiors quickly steered him toward the Scouts of the Mothership, which is one of Bandle City's most distinguished Special Forces unit alongside the Megling Commandos.

While most yordles do not handle solo scouting missions with a great deal of finesse, Teemo is remarkably efficient at them. His record of success in defending Bandle City from infiltrators easily makes him one of the most dangerous yordles alive, though you'd never know it by having a cup of honey mead with him at his favorite inn. Bandle City chose Teemo as their first champion for the League, and he has taken to it like a duck to water. His signature weapon - a blowgun - uses a rare ajunta poison he personally gathers from the jungles of ***ungu. To help cope with his lengthy periods of isolation, Teemo recently struck up a friendship with Tristana, a fellow League champion and fellow member of Bandle City's Special Forces. This connection is healthy for both yordles, though now Valoran's voracious media outlets circulate rumors that the friendship is turning into a romantic relationship. Regardless, Teemo is a crowd favorite in the League of Legends, and a pint-sized foe that many have come to fear.

''Teemo rides a thin line between chipper compatriot and unrepentant killer, but there's no one else I'd rather have as a friend.''
-- Tristana

Chapter V: Runes

Runes

Best Runes:

greater mark of hybrid penetration - Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration
This allow us to poke harder in the early game and help us a little at the late game.

-Greater Seal of Armor
Were squishy and we can't allow that to happen so we use this to have armor to survive the early game and stand up at Mid game.

-Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Some top laners are ability powered champion like Lulu and they can kill us even if we have an armor, so we use this magic resist runes to lessen the damage from AP type champions.

-Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
This is use to poke more heavily to champions in the early so even if you have starting items you can dominate the whole game so easily.

Still good for Him runes:

-Greater Mark of Attack Speed
If you're going full attack speed you should get this to boost up you're attack speed until late game.

-Greater Seal of Health
If you're match-up is hard use this to survive the terror and the chaos of the enemy. You can be a tank if you like but I use this when my survival rate is low.

-Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction
Who loves to dominate the whole game? Of course all of us wants it so more Cooldown reduction, more bombs and more fun!

-Greater Quintessence of Life Steal
If you're going to survive long early game use this to stack the lifesteal of other items and trade with the enemy until they die.

Chapter VI: Masteries

Masteries
Cunning Tree:

-Savagery for a little power and poke and it makes farming a lot easier.
-Secret Stash for high survivability and the health potions are upgraded into biscuits which last longer.

-Dangerous Game for you can't be dead if you kill the enemy champion and the enemy minions are attacking you.
-Precision for more penetration together with the runes to have a high amount of damage for the poke.
-Thunderlord's Decree to make your poke a killing blow or just want the enemy to suffer your kit.

Resolve Tree:

At level 1, get the Toxic Shot first to be able to poke and have an additional last hitting power. At level 2, take the Blinding Dart and start poking the enemy champion.
Max Toxic Shot first because it is our main source of power. Second, take the blinding dart to last hit creeps or make an extended poke to the enemies. Last, take the Move Quick whenever it is possible and then max it last. Whenever you hit level 6,11, and 16, take your ultimate, the Noxious Trap . If you forgotten it just take it at level 7,12, and 17. There are many skill sequence that can be made depending on the match-up but this is the most used skill sequence for Teemo.

Chapter IX: Champion Abilities

Champion Abilities
camouflage

camouflage Camouflage-If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for 1.5 seconds, he becomes stealthed indefinitely. After leaving stealth, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his attack speed by 20 / 40 / 60 / 80% for 2 seconds.

In addition, moving inside brush for 1.5 seconds also allows Teemo to become stealthed.

Tips and Tricks
  • Camouflage can be used to set-up a kill and to escaped from the chasing enemies.
  • You can move at bush while still invisible and when you move out of it you will be not stealthed but having an attack speed boost for a limited amount of seconds.
  • Use the attack speed boost to deal damage to the enemy champions.

Blinding Dart-Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+80% of ability power) magic damage to the target unit, blinding them and causing all their attacks to miss for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds.

Tips and Tricks
  • If you are 1v1-ing with another Teemo let him first to do the blinding then follow it up with your Blinding Dart because in the end you're the first one who will get out of his blinding dart, not them.
  • Use Blinding Dart to blind auto-attack champions like Master Yi or Ashe to win the 1v1 so often.
  • Pop this before you get stunned by Jax or Rek'Sai.
  • Don't use this when Fiora pop her Riposte or you will get stunned.

Move quick-Passive: Grants 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 % increased movement speed until struck by a champion or turret. The passive is restored 5 seconds (static cooldown) after last being struck by a champion or turret.
Active: For 3 seconds, Teemo gains double his passive movement speed and will not lose it even if he is hit.

Tips and Tricks
  • Move quick is like a free boot, it allows to be swift always.
  • If you're hit, your movement will decrease, so be careful not to get hit.
  • When Move Quick is active, it is like a free Ghost. Use this time to escape or chase fleeing enemies.
  • Use this when you see that a champion like Garen uses his Decisive Strike to get away with it.

Toxic Shot- Passive: Each time Teemo attacks an enemy, he will poison the target, dealing 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+30% of ability power) magic damage on hit and 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 (+10% of ability power) each second for 4 seconds. The duration of this poison will be refreshed with every subsequent attack, but the damage does not stack.

Tips and Tricks
  • Wait for the poison to vanish before poking again.
  • Poison helps you to last hit creeps more easily.
  • Toxic Shot scales well with ability powered items like Liandry's Torment. Don't forget that.

Noxious trap-Teemo places a trap which stealths and arms in 1 second. It detonates if an enemy steps on it, dealing 200 / 325 / 450 (+50% of ability power) magic damage by poisoning nearby enemies, applying a 30 / 40 / 50% slow and revealing them for 4 seconds. The traps last 5 minutes. Teemo will store one every 34 / 28 / 22 seconds, and can have a maximum of three stocked up. Each cast requires and uses a trap. After death, Teemo respawns with 2 mushrooms.
Casting traps on existing Noxious Traps causes them to bounce 3 / 4 / 5 Teemos further in the direction they were originally tossed.

Tips and Tricks
  • Place mushrooms in an important locaton like dragon or baron nashor .
  • Use mushrooms to farm wave creeps immediately.
  • Put up a mushroom in your back when you are pushing to the enemy tower.
  • Don't stack your traps they deal only small amount of damage.
  • Your mushroom can be detected by True Vision, place your mushroom where no one expects where you put it on.

Chapter X: Items

Items

Starting Items

-The basic start for Teemo is the Doran's Blade and 1 Health Potion. It gives you a high survivability rate and a lifesteal also for poking and farming too. Use this to survive the early game and trade this out for later game items.

-Use this if you are gonna go for the early poke but I don't recommend this because it has no survivability for the early game. Use this if you are going to ability power Teemo.

- Use this if you are going to start with a high damage early game but it is so risky that you have no survivability power. Use this to boost the process to buy the items with the Amplifying Tome with it.

-Use this if you are going to build defensively/passively at the start. You can trade the Cloth Armor for the better ones or build it that has a Cloth Armor on it.

-Use this when your enemy is an ability power caster like Lulu and you know that you will struggle against these guys. Still you can trade it out for a better item or continue build with a Null-Magic Mantle with it.

Mid game to late game items

-This must be a must buy item for Teemo when the Blade of the Ruined King got nerfed. It synchronize well with your Toxic Shot and heals you everytime you autoattack an enemy.

-It gives you a decent attack speed and cooldown reduction for your Noxious Trap and some ability power for more magic damage on your poke.

-This what makes you a scary opponent at top lane, after you reached 8 stack of this you will be like a machine gun of poison and can kill even a tank.

-Gives you a decent attack speed, a movement boost, and some critical chance at your poke and doubles your poke because of it's unique passive.

-Gives you a decent ability power some health and adds a little burn effect as magic damage when dealing spell damage.

-Gives you a lot of ability power and adds 30 perccent of your ability power and makes you a poke lord because of this.

-Gives you a decent armor, protects you from finishing blows like Noxian Guillotine or Death Mark and 100 ability power for extra poking.

-Gives you a lot of ability power, mana for more mushrooms, and some decent health for survivability in laning phase.

-Gives you a decent attack speed and shreds 5 magic resistance per auto attack and gives you 40 magic resist.

Defensive items

-Gives you a free revive per 5 minutes and 60 armor and 60 magic resist.

-Gives you a lot of health and health regeneration for higher survivability through-out the game.

-Gives you a lot of health and some damage and slows the enemy you poke on.

Chapter XI: Match-ups A to D

Match-ups A to D

Easy to Medium
Aatrox is a melee champion and uses health for his abilities. Use this as your advantage and don't let him last minions and you will be fine. Avoid being knocked-up and lose a lot of health. Take his free revive and kill him. Don't let him stock up his Blood Well to turn the tides when you're 1v1-ing with him.

Medium
Ahri is a champion who rely on his Charm to accomplish her combo easily. First, bait her out to use her Charm then poke her while it is on cooldown. Care of her Orb of Deception when she's trying to poke you down. Also, you can still be charmed when your stealthed so care of that too. This is a skill match-up whoever makes a mistake loses.

Hard
Akali is an assasin whose skills are spell vamped. This maybe easy pre-6 but when she reaches level 6 you're done. Care not to get hit by her spells and when you see her use Twilight Shroud back-out. Ability Power Akali or Tank Akali is still both dangerous for our little Teemo. Call for ganks and make it count. Play passively post-6.

Easy to Medium
This cow is little bit easy if the user of this champion is not comfortable with Alistar but if you're going against a good Alistar care of his Headbutt Pulverize combo. He has also a heal( Triumphant Roar) so build cooldown reduction and spam your Blinding Dart to poke him down and maybe force him to use his heal. Care of your mana while you spam your Blinding Dart and win the lane.

Easy to Medium
Amumu is a champion who cries a lot. Many Amumu players tend to start their combo by using Bandage Toss and then Tantrum while using his Despair. In teamfights care of his Curse of the Sad Mummy snare because you can't move while that entangles you and his allies can do anything to you while you're unable to move for 2 seconds. Care of his Bandage Toss and Curse of the Sad Mummy and you will be untouchable by Amumu.

Hard
This bird has 2 lives and that difficult to kill her down because she has a wall ( Crystallize) and she has a Flash Frost, which is a stun and Glacial Storm which expands, damages, and slows the enemies who are inside it. Don't stand in his ult and care for her stun or you will be bursted down from 100 to 0.

Medium
With the recent change on her ultimate, Summon: Tibbers it will be pretty much harder to kill Annie because when she dies, Tibbers will kill the enemy who kills Annie and that's you or the nearest enemy close with Tibbers. So when you kill Annie, run away when she pops her ultimate when she dies or when she summon it infront of you with the Pyromania proc but the good news is you can see when she has the Pyromania proc with the recent changes to Annie. Play passively when you see the proc and play aggresively when she's building it.

Easy
Ashe is a champion who relies on her teammates and is an auto-attack champion. She maybe building full damage but still you can counter it with your Blinding Dart but be careful if she builds Quicksilver Sash because your blind will be cleanse and you have nothing to counter it. If she pops it then put a Noxious Trap under her and she will lose a lot of health and maybe kill her.

Medium to Hard
Aurelion Sol is a champion that relies heavily at his passive, Cosmic Creator and can expand it by using Astral Flight. The good news is that Aurelion Sol is like a donut, deadly on the outside and squishy on the inside and you can see him even he is on a bush. The bad news is that he has a growing stun field that you have a little chance to outrun and he can hit you even if you're camouflage.

Hard
This man has many soldiers and you don't. In level 1 you pretty much have an advantage her because he can't move his soldiers but in level 2 you're in danger because now he has a Shifting Sands that allows him to move his soldiers. Try to kill him as early as possible to make him farm under tower and call for ganks when he's low and has no Emperor's Divide and care of his turret, it might be a bait.

Easy
Bard is a roaming champion to collect the chimes. Try putting Noxious Trap in the location of the chimes in lane to stop him from collecting chimes. Care of his Cosmic Binding, which may stun or slow you and his Tempered Fate to try to stop you from escaping from a teamfight. Shut down his Caretaker's Shrine to stop him from healing and care because this might be a bait to kill you.

Medium
The crank can be a god or a noob. He relies on landing his Rocket Grab then Power Fist -ing to your face. He has also boost of movement speed like you but blitzcrank's Overdrive has a slow at end and you don't. Use this to your advantage when you are chasing him and be careful of the grabs at their tower.

Medium to Hard
This man is blazing and shiny when he has an aspect of the dragon buff. Care of his Pillar of Flame/ Conflagration then Sear stun then Pillar of Flame/ Conflagration combo then you will be Blaze and take more damage that you will be expected. Avoid his abilities at all cost and don't stand near everyone when you are hit by his Pyroclasm and you will be fine.

Easy
Braum is the man who can almost block any kind projection and your Blinding Dart will be nothing to his Unbreakable. Your goal to kill this man is simple. Don't let him stock up his Concussive Blows and bait his Unbreakable. With a small window of time while his Unbreakable is down you can kill him but he has an escape Stand Behind Me so clear all the minions around him and now he's a free kill.

Medium
This girl wants to harass you with her range and she has the advantage when you step on her traps and get a Headshot proc. The good news is you can go toe-to-toe with her using Rapid Firecannon or using your Noxious Trap as a minefield. It's your choice what you likes the most. It is a skill match-up whoever makes a mistake loses.

Hard
This woman is like you, her abilities are almost poisoned and she has an immobilizing ult and you don't. Once you step in her Miasma, Noxious Blast will be easier to kill combined with her Twin Fang. When teamfighting avoid her Miasma and Petrifying Gaze to make her useless. In laning phase, Cassiopeia can just kill you anytime so be careful.

Hard
Cho'Gath is pretty weak early game and a monster late game. Before level 6 try to kill him as much as possible without hitting you. Call for ganks before he stack up his Feast to try to make him small again. Your Blinding Dart will be useless since he has Vorpal Spikes and be careful if you have low health since he can eat you to your own death once you get near to him.

Hard
The Daring bombardier is hard for since he has a Phosphorus Bomb that can reveal you while you're being stealth and he has a Gatling Gun when you blind him. He has also a Missile Barrage which can tear you down at long range. He has also an escape, the Valkyrie and a large valkyrie by Hextech Munitions that can change teamfights. If all of that popped unto you, you're dead. Play passively at laning phase then call for ganks when he's low.

Medium
Darius abilities have some Hemorrhage in them to increase the damage to his target. Luckily, you're ranged and have some additional movement speed passive so you can waltz around him and kill him. Care of his Apprehend which can grab you and Decimate which can heal him. When he has noxian might popped be careful which grants additional damage to his enemies and can melt your health pool easily.

Medium to Hard
Diana is an assasin that can be tanky AP hybrid or full Ability power based champ. One way or another, she still can be deadly for you. If you're hit by her Crescent Strike, go to your tower or else she will Lunar Rush to you and then Moonfall so you can't run back anymore while she has Pale Cascade and you're done. Avoid hitting her Crescent Strike and you win.

Easy
Dr. Mundo has no mana and uses health for his abilities. To win the laning phase, always dodge his Infected Bonesaw and poke with your Blinding Dart if he uses his Blunt Force Trauma into you. Don't call your jungler for a gank if he has a Maximum Dosage up. Try to bait it then call for a gank. He has no escape ability but you have a boost to catch-up unto him.

Easy
Draven... Draven... Draven... Draven... Draven is the kind of champ that has a special mechanic on his auto-attack. His movement pretty predictable because of his Spinning Axe. Use this as your chance when to strike him when he's going to catch a far-away drop point of his Spinning Axe. Don't let his adoration stack up to make his kills goldless. Remember, his Spinning Axe has lifesteal too so poke him as much as possible to negate it.

Chapter XII: Match-ups E to J

Match-ups E to J

Medium
Ekko is the man who can do many combos and can switch them based on any situation. Be careful of his Parallel Convergence if he casts it on a bush. Back-out if he hides on a bush because most of the time something fishy is going on out there. His Timewinder is easy to dodge as it slows down whenever it hits an enemy creep or champion.

Medium to Hard
The spider queen is medium if she is in the Human form but if she is on a Spider form you're in danger. Play passively if shes on human form and you have high health. Play offensively if she is in spider form and you have high health. If she is on spider form and you have low health play passively and if you have high health and she is on spider form play offensively. Be careful of his Cocoon as it may stun by her and easily kill you.

Easy
This a battle of stealth. the problem is she can stealth while walking in out of combat and you don't. If she ganks you use your auto attack Blinding Dart and auto attack combo to proc Thunderlord's Decree and she will lose 1/2 or maybe 3/4 of her health pool. Mind her Hate Spike when you're low but still it is an easy fight.

Medium
Ezreal is now medium or average difficult because of his Blue Build Ezreal. Every Mystic Shot and Essence Flux has an empowered Iceborn Gauntlet proc. But still you're Teemo and you're still a threat to almost anyone and can done amazing play because of his Noxious Trap. Care of his abilities and this is a skill match-up. Whoever makes a mistake loses.

Easy
Fiddlesticks is now getting more popular because of his semirework to his abilities. But still if you're careful not to get hit by his Terrify you can win this one easily. Care if his Bountiful Harvest to prevent him from healing and Reap from damaging yourself and your ally.

Easy
Fiora is an auto-attacking champion and you can easily beat her by your Blinding Dart if she ever tries to kill you. Still Fiora knows that she will be beaten by you and start building defensively so it will be harder for you to kill her. So building magic penetration and AP tank items like Rylai's Crystal Scepter will be easier to kill her and it will be harder to escape since you have like rylai's slow proc and maybe feed you.
