Introduction


Hello! Moakai was my first love in League of Legends. I have lots of satisfaction to play with he. In my opoinion there are two ways to play Moakai. First is the only tank in team. Second is off tank when we already have tankly hero in our team and we want to take a little more damage.

Tank

Pros & Cons:

Pros
    - Great initiator.
    - Great farmer with sapling toss.
    - Ultimate recharges fast.
    - Knock up, a slow, and a root.
Cons
    - Suck early game because of lack of mana.
    - Do no damage in late game.
    - Can not do anything alone.
    - Has no escape.
    - Slow.

Runes:

Quintessences:


I uses three Greater Quintessence of Ability Power to be able to start farming hard at 5 lv by throwing Sapling Toss into mage minions.

Marks:


I uses nine Greater Mark of Magic Penetration because they are the best of marks for Moakai.

Seals:

Greater Seal of Replenishment
Mana regeneration is a must. I prefer Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration rune.

Glyphs:


There I prefer some magic resist rune. But 100 mana at start is good for us too. If we will put AP runes here, we can change two of Quintessences, for example for hp runes. The choice is yours. I uses cooldowns reduction runes.

Items:

Starting Items:


I have tried lots of items to begin with them. These ones works the best with runes which i suggests. They are just enough for me to get 6 level and earn 1115 gold for next items.

Then:

Philosopher's Stone
When we get these items we will be able to spam ours spells more often. But we still have to keep eye on ours mana, we dont want to miss chance to kill enemy chempion because of deficiency of mana.

Then:


We are tank. We need some survivable items. Further comment is unnecessary.

Then:

Shurelya's Reverie
Glacial Shroud gives us 425 mana, It is almost what we need, with Banshee's Veil is just exactly. Banshee's Veil gives also poweful passive property and some health. I would have bought it even with four ad in enemy team. Shurelya's Reverie gives us some hp and reduce some cooldown, also It gives us active ability which make us escapable!

Summoner spells:

There is only two spells which I prefer:

Flash:


We must have that spell! Not for escape, we need it to improve range of Twisted Advance. By this combo we will be able to jump through enemies on least survivable hero, who hides behind the aliened heroes.

Exhaust:


We are already among enemies. We aren't inmortal, befor our allies come we must survival. What we should do? Ofc we cast exhaust on most dangerous enemy and cast Vengeful Maelstrom.
