02/17/11 - Build created

This will be my first build, so please tell me if i am doing something wrong.

This build will be for the new champion, Maokai The Twisted Treant.
This build is mostly going for an AP build, focusing on Maokai's sapling toss.
Whit this you should be able to do massive amounts of damage with just your sapling and you can run in and finish them off with your other abilities.

Runes will be simple

Magic pen , mana regen, Ap/lvl, and CDR quints

Why I did this is simple

When I play him I run out of mana very fast early game, this will allow me to harass even more for longer.
Also with this it will allow you to to for more AP items rather then for mana getting items.

I just went with a basic 9/0/21, change it for your liking.

Ok, the wall of text start here

Like I said before I personally have mana problems in the beginning game so i go for Sapphire Crystal first.

After I go back I grab boots and if I have enough money, work on getting Catalyst the Protector (1275g will get you both items) if you have the money.

Then I pop up a Rod of Ages when you have 850g, get this asap so you get the 10 min cap as soon as you can.

Then go for Ionian Boots of Lucidity for the cooldown and the speed upgrade

If things are going well, grab the Soul Stealer, and if not Abyssal Scepter.

If you still have mana problems go for Chalice of Harmony, if not the new Morello's Evil Tome is very useful.

If you still have problems with magic users grab the Banshee's Veil. (remember if you are planning to get this anyway, don't grab the Chalice scene you will have lots of mana)

For the last item I went with Rabadon's Deathcap.

This should give you a considerable amount of AP to be able to harass with your Saplings

I maxed out Sapling first, for obvious reasons.
After that try to max out your stuns so you can beat on the enemy and it will be easier for your team to get kills.
Like all champions upgrade your ult when you can and then level your Q last.

Basically the priority list is R=>E=>W=>Q

I picked Teleport and Flash

I picked Flash just because Moakai has no escape mechanisms so having this is handy
Teleport is very useful for going back in to fights and lanes.

R=>E=>W=>Q
Get AP items with some magic resist to cover your back
Harass with saplings whenever you can.

I have had so much fun with this champion it is not even funny. After every game all i hear is "That ******** new champion is so op and he is so annoying"
