Ashort guide that is going to be updated constanlty as more patches and info comes along.

This build is based around CD reduction and Arm penetration which i find a great way to build Monkey king. His Q ability Crushing will eventually has 3 sec CD that will synergize nicely with Trinity.

i prefer to go for Armor penetration that why
Greater Mark of Desoltion x9
Greater Quintessence of Desolation

for the yellows Greater Seal of Defence or or are nice choices depending on your play style

For the blue ones or

Resistances runes are there to increase survivabilty with his passive! and attack speed blues are to further increase the AS bonus from your E ability.Nimbus

i go for 21/9/0 because you are AD of course and you need the 21 talents there...and 9 in defence because i now test the which seem to be nice so far.

is really good for monkey since he has a nice base speed and allows you to use it along with for a quick espace.


works great for an melee hero since it can prevent some healing and has some nice effects for last hitting people


Any other spell should work fine as long as you know how to use it. Although / are the worst you can get i think for this kind of champ

I max out firt taking once for a escaping specially earlier.

After that is next.

Tip: works on hitting turrets too

since you are going to get some SA from runes and you have your E ability CD reduction is the best you can get


After boots this is what you want to get. Synergizes great with your skills and you need to build up CDR for trinity procs.


With this you complete your core items! with this you can slow people you have mana / AS/ Movement speed and your should start to reallllly hurt people



now you have the CDR you need. Grab the blue buff if noone needs it but you should pretty fine by now.

or if you need to tank a bit for your team get resistances

What you need to keep in mind is you DONT have to stay into a fight till you die!!!!

Monkey king has this almost uniqueness.

STEP1:You engage with
STEP2:You wait untill you land a simple auto-attack or use
STEP3:Hit with or keep autoattacking untill you see your self going down faster than normal
STEP4: out of the fight. try to do this while you have some enemies around you gathered....your decoy is going to hit them and grant you some asists at least
STEP5: if the fight is turning out in your Favor engage again with STEP1 and

this is the way you should fight in 1v1 too your short cooldown and your low mana burning allow you for an awesome back and forth untill you get some kills in the fight or an escape.

TIP: is an extra hit sso you can auto-attack+ Q for to consecutive blows!.

TIP2: your can interupt some serious enemy ultis so careful when you use it



Are the three important ultis when you see you have to spin.(or before that in Galio's case.

plus 3x is a great start and will keep you in your lane for a while

if you decide to go for Berseker's Greaves the you will probably need to start with a + in order to get the CDR you are going to miss from turning that pendant to Philoshopher's Stone for extra cush too.

Mid game you should getting pumped up with and and everything will work smoothly from here and on.
