You are getting free spells with any HP regen item. Even Pendant early game is enaugh.
Why spell vamp then?

And with that recomended setup wouldnt you be extremaly vurleable to enemy physicals?
only 1 of the items has Armor, just MR and some HP from Rylai. I Find him a great killer even without AP... he just outstands everything slowly getting you down...

You focus too much on the spell vamp, it's basically just free spells but what we really want is Magic Penetration. I don't use the Item in my builds but I'm always open for new ways to play Mordekaiser.

btw: Most of the damage you take is from Magic, but I agree he has some armor issues.

Haunting Guise, well... it's basically 2 for 1 in AoE so I'd say it's not a bad idea when it comes to only 5% Spell Vamp. That Item only synergizes with Creeping Death because that's the only way you'll regain health if you manage to keep yourself in the middle of a wave. Siphon of Destruction is close but most of the time it just neutrulize is the cost of the spell...

So, Haunting Guise = Free Spells, on Mordekaiser (if you hit something that is)
Other than that it has Magic Penetration which is a must for every Mordekaiser focusing on Abilties.

@Gogoplatza

Yes, he has the right Idea... too bad he's not much of a wrighter

I recommend:
Regrowth Pendant - Always start with this one!
Boots of Speed - Movespeed is important
Haunting Guise - Has several purposes
Sorcerer's Shoes - Upg. Asap
Rylai's Crystal Scepter - Well.. it's Ability Morde
Force of Nature - Maybe I should get it before Rylai's
Guardian Angel - Armor Issues, and if you die it's a good item
Abyssal Scepter - Magic Penetration should be the only thing you focus on.

me play game me speak ungabunga-language. If you cant type correctly dont post builds. Simple as that :)

dont think Haunting Guise is a good idea since his skills are all counted as AoE spells anyway even mace on single target.

"Morde deal very good dmg and tank good"
makes everything clear as the sky.

AP morde... u have the right idea but u need 2 explain this a bit more in detail.
eg. why u have force of nature with only 1 good hp item
(for the magic resist with creeping death but what if i verse yi, jax etc.)

but i do like ur ideas here, good(-ish) work
