This build for morde is a great build to use in 3s but it is also great in 5s. This build focuses on maximizing the potential of his passive ability so that he can easily 2v1 and even 3v1. Late on on this page you will read about the explanation for the items and masteries.
These runes are common caster runes and are very useful even if tanking with morde because the more damage output that you do with him and his abilities the more of his temporary shield you will have. So these runes will add a considerable amount of damage to his early level creeping death and sipon moves so you can easily abuse and dominate your lane.
These masteries are the ideal tanking masteries which is what you should be doing with this build although you will be getting alot of kills and be doing alot of damage.
The first time you should get is dorans shield because all of mordes moves use health and health regeneration is a neccasary thing to have at the beggining. As for the types of boots, morde has no slows no stuns so he needs speed and with the boots of swiftness his movement speed is 405 which is a good speed. Now for the next time either get Force of Nature or Thornmail based off of the other team. I also like Force of Nature because it further increases your movement speed to the point of where you can chase. The next item on your list should be Thornmail if u got Force of Nature first or Force of Nature if you got Thornmail first. Abyssal Scepter is a great item for a tank/dps plus the aura effect is nice but it does give you away. Either get abyssal specter or sunfire cape. Getting sunfire cape with morde is a good time but it is not as good as abyssal specter so unless the other team has a fed AD dps dont waste your money. After you get abyssal specter or sunfire cap get deathcap this maximizes your ap and your dps and survivability goes through the roof. With the addition of gunblade at the end increasing your AD AP lifesteal and spell vamp you will not die.
This skill sequence is weird I know most people believe that its all in the Q but its not this skill sequence allows you to stand in between your enemies melle and ranged minons with your aoe shield up and abuse them while they try to abuse you and your shield absorbs all the damage. The way that this works is the damage output from your shield combined with the hitting of multipule targets with your cone will get your shield up fast and leave your shield to take the damage for you.
These summoner spells are the basic caster dps spells. Use ignite to stack with your ult to convert someone faster and to kill runaways. Flash allows you to chase right after an enemy disengages with you and they will be doing that alot.
