Greetings to all summoners. This is (Not in my opinion, but in truth) the best build for Mordekaiser in ranked play that exists. By the end of this build you will be, fast, able to one v one or two v one nearly every champion combo in the game, Able to take all damage dealt to you by the enemy team and deal twice that amount back to them, and while doing this die less than 5 times in any 40+ minute ranked or normal game.

Runes, Some of you may be wondering why i didn't include the runes that i use in the first portion of the guide. This is because of Mordekaiser's extreme flexibility. When playing morde i usually blend a mix of flat health and a little ap boost for the beginning of the match. All three of my quintessence spots i fill with the flat health runes. This gives a good portion of health at the beginning of the game, further supplemented by your regen pendant as a starting item. I fill the mark section with straight health as well, saving my flat ap runes to fill the glyph spot. To further benefit the regen pendant i fill my seal spots with flat hp regeneration.

I will not take up your time explaining every one of my mastery choices to you. In a brief summation: I chose my masteries in the same way i choose runes, with focus on health and defense and AP, If you observe the mastery tree, it sets up perfectly for a good health and Armour boost, as well as a cooldown reduction and the buff on the ghost spell.

For items, this will take some time. The overall build is fairly expensive, but luckily mordekaiser is one of the best farmers in LoL (we will cover this later in the gameplay section.
As previously mentioned, a [*] regrowth pendant is your best item at the start, that combined with your health pot should keep a good mordekaiser in the lane for quite some time. Around 6:30 into the game i have enough coinage to base and buy my [*] Giant's Belt . (Note: For this item, if you do not have enough gold when you first return to the fountain go ahead and buy your tier 1 boots, if you have enough left over from that buy the ruby crystal. and fill your remaining inventory with health pots and 1 ward) From there, The build i have selected above is a very rough outline of what your true build will end up like. there are several key items that are irreplaceable no matter what build you are using. Your first item is ALWAYS going to be your Warmogs Armour No questions. Followed directly by your boots of swiftness. The last absolutely critical item you need is the [*]Guardian angel , Start this right after your first ap item. In continuation (i have dallied on that subject enough) we move onto your third item (by this point you should have your boots and Warmogs) This is where you start to become a huge damage threat on the battlefield as well as an unkillable presence.
Your next item should be either Zhonyia's hourglass or the abbysal scepter depending on the makeup of the other team, (if there mostly AP build The scepter, if there mostly AD build the Hourglass, Duh.) After this item you should have won. If not then continue right ahead and build a guardian angel. (The scariest thing in this game is having a mordekaiser with twice your health bars, A giant black ******* flopping as he runs towards you, and a little cloud around him that says IF you manage to kill him with all five of your teammates hes going to pop right back up with your ad carry in tow and wreck the rest of your team. Seriously, Mordekaiser is OP, and there is nothing that gives you a better feeling than having the entire enemy team chase one of your sqiushies down your lane, see you, and then all five of them turn around and hit ghost.) After this item, if your not confident already that your unstoppable, go ahead and build your next ap item, (either rabadons deathcap, in case you feel like you need even more ****ing power. or the crystal scepter, in case you dont like people running from you, or the abyssal sceptor/hourglass (whichever one you didnt build first)) Finally, finish the build off with one solid tank item, either the thornmail or the force of nature (dependant on the other team of course)

and, voila.
Just go ahead and let out a roar that scares your office co-workers, mother, roomate, or fellow LoL player and proceed to royally screw, demoralize, rape, and generally roll over every single player and turret on the enemy team.

E. Level up your e first. End of story. This provides you with a full shield at all times (the most key aspect of mordekaiser. For some good straight damage i would also level up the q before moving onto the w. Level up ultimate as fast as possible of course.

Note: For laning, in whatever lane you are in, push hard, use all three of your abilities to farm creeps as soon as possible. Keep your shield up so no one harasses you of your gold, and bam, its gg. They have no chance.

Note 2: With your ultimate, in my opinion one of the best in the game. Tell your team who to target in team fights (preferabloy the ranged ad carry on the enemy team.) and ult them. Pressing ALT to control that as well as your main champ. This gives you a carry that gets kills for you as well as your already OP damage output.

Here we go, i bet that many of you are asking wtf is wrong with this ****** for not picking ignite. That is your choice, i think that ignite is a fine spell on mordekaiser. It works well with is ultimate. however, i pride myself with having the least deaths in every match i play in. for this flash is a godsend. In truth though, ghost is a must on mordekaiser. But between flash and ignite its your choice.
