Welcome to my Mordekaiser guide, where he gets it done. Without a doubt Mordekaiser is one of the best, or the best champion that is available for purchase. He is by far the beastliest of the champions and with this guide can absolutely decimate the opposite team. Mordekaiser is a tank/Dps champ that is usually played as a tank. Because Mordekaiser has very low Ap ratios I focus this guide on Magic Pen. With the Magic pen your attacks will do more damage so rather then building up your damage just lower their defense. But I can assure you that he can be as great a Dps as some pure Dps champs. Mordekaiser's attacks are based on magical ability..Lets move into the skills.

Mordekaiser's attacks are extremely powerful with the right items, runes, and player ability. If you are new to the champion I would recommend using this build but beginning to learn how to use his shield to the best of its ability.

Iron man

- 25% of the damage dealt from abilities is converted into a temporary shield, absorbing incoming damage.
*This is the base of the survivability that Mordekaiser has, it grants his health invulnerable while the shield is active. It is vital to use this shield to the fullest to really be a beast Morde.
**During fights with other champions, position your Siphon of Destruction to get as much of the minion wave and other champions you can to get your shield fully charged.**
Mastering this passive will win you most of the fights that you are thrown in to.

Mace of Spades

- On next hit, Mordekaiser swings his mace with such force that it echoes out, striking up to 3 additional nearby targets, dealing damage plus bonus damage. If the target is alone, the bonus damage is doubled.

Mace of spades is decent but it is less prioritized then the other abilities. Use this skill to clear minion waves quickly and be sure to active it as much as possible during team fights to deal damage and recharge your shield.

Creeping Death

- Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally, increasing their armor and magic resistance by 10/15/20/25/30 and dealing 20/35/50/65/80 (+0.15) magic damage per second to enemies in the cloud for 6 seconds.

This ability puts a shield that increases resistances while dealing consecutive damage to things around the Champion with the shield. Use this when fighting enemy champions, throw it on a minion so it affects the enemy champion with damage. Use this whenever you feel in danger or running into a mysterious bush alone. Just use this thing as much as possible.

Siphon of Destruction

- Mordekaiser damages enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing 65/110/155/200/245 (+0.4) magic damage.

This is the base ability that you are going to want to use repeatedly whenever you can as much as you can. Use this to harass at the beginning of the match, use this in team fights, and remember to use this on as many people as possible to gain the effects of your shield.

Children of the Grave

- Mordekaiser curses an enemy, stealing a percent of their life each second. If the target dies while the spell is active, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds.

Mordekaiser's ult is extremely useful when under attack or when initiating the attack. I use this skill whenever I'm going for the kill, and simultaneously use Ignite to really inflict damage in a short period of time. This combo is beastly when used on low hp targets. Prioritize using this skill on Dps, Carrys, and then tanks. Reason being is if used on Dps you get the most powerful ghosts that can really turn the tides in team fights. The cooldown on this skill is fairly low so don't be afraid to use it.

Skilling order: R > E > W >Q.

Using Siphon of Destruction to harass is extremely useful during early to mid and even late game where you can usually get the hit off while having your shield take their attempts at harassing you. Also you can cast Creeping Death on minions to affect champions standing a little bit too close. When harassing try and get as many minions as possible in the cone of your Siphoning Strike to build your creep shield up.

Summoner Spell Choice

Ignite and Ghost are the ones I would recommend the most, but if you feel that other spells would be more helpful then use those. Ignite is a very good spell to use with Children of the Grave to really guarantee a kill.

Standard runes that will help you level and kill, while maintaining survivability.

Item choice

The items that are shown give Mordekaiser a good health base and overall good defenses against all sorts of damage. But the real thing that helps is the magic pen with the ability power. This will max power output.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter OR Frozen Mallet
Rylai's will give your skills a slowing effect while Frozen Mallet will give your Physical Damage attacks a slow. I prefer the Scepter but it is your choice to choose your preference or try each out.
Abyssal Scepter OR Void Staff
Abyssal Scepter gives a flat magic resist debuff while Void staff will tear through 40% of your enemies Magic Resist. The Void Staff will come in handy if your enemies are stacking magic resist. The Abyssal Scepter is better if they are not stacking Magic resist and I prefer to use this more because I dont see Magic Resist champs too much. Choose your preference or try each out.

If anyone would like to suggest any new items feel free to comment and I will look into it.

This is a build that I wanted to bring to Mobafire.

Thank you for reading my guide, be sure to rate and comment, and good luck pwning n00bz.
