Nerfed? HA!

This guide is for trolling with this giant lumbering suit of armour. He was nerfed a bit (okay, a lot), but this build is aimed at turning this "beast" into the true Shadow Isle monster he should be. This focuses on several aspects that are extremely important, and allow you to plow through most enemies with relevant ease.

Considering you are actually reading this guide about one of the least-picked champions in LoL, I will assume you already know at least a little about the champion and skip some of the needless champion information {i.e. Lore and Stat Gains).

Typical Toplaner... Huh.

As a top-lane, it is a good idea to get Teleport (it will help you get back into lane MUCH faster early-game), or Flash if you feel more secure with it early-game. Ignite and Children of the Grave work wonders together, amazing combo to finish off that enemy stubbornly hanging on to life.

I have seen Mordekaiser do moderately well with Heal, but as with Flash it becomes unnecessary later on, with your high spellvamp.

It Takes Skill To Be A Mordekaiser...

If you level up Mace of Spades and Siphon of Destruction together, your combo damage will scale rather well into the late-game where you will be required to deal out lots of damage quickly. I get Creeping Death as my third skill and keep it at rank one for better mobility early-game, especially against ganks. As with any other champion, get your Children of the Grave ASAP. This skill has saved my life so many times when I was about to die. This skill used in tandem with Hextech Gunblade will really give you an HP boost, but it is (usually) better to just retreat from a 1v2/1v3 unless you absolutelyKNOW you can kill them both.

Mordekaiser's ult is probably one of the best things that was ever conceived of in LoL (other than Tryndamere's ult). Use it sparingly, and only if you know you or an ally will be able to secure the kill (or if you are in danger of dying).

A Guide To Life... Err, Items.

GET YOUR SPELLVAMP ITEMS!

Spellvamp is much-needed with Mordekaiser, since his skills cost hp... And you will be getting hit. (Really? That sucks.)

Because of Mordekaiser's Creeping Death and Iron Man, armour and MR shouldn't be much of a focus. If absolutely necessary, get a Zz'Rot's Portal or Guardian Angel if you are dying too much.

R.I.P. Deathfire Grasp. You will be missed.

Rush Will of the Ancients first, so you don't suicide [as fast] while trying to farm.
Buy Hextech Gunblade immediately afterward for more spellvamp + lifesteal (really helps in fights) and ganks.
Now you have a choice. FREEDOM!... Not really. Get either of these:
Luden's Tempest OR... Twin Shadows
I get Luden's Echo first, since it deals extra damage occasionally and boosts your movement a bit. It is, for all intended purposes, an AP Statikk Shiv. Awesome.
Next, you should start building your boots. Since you already have decent cooldown thanks to your masteries and runes you won't need Ionian.
Sorcerer's Shoes - Alacrity has decent MPEN to add onto your runes and masteries.
Finally, the crowning achievement of your blitzing tank: Twin Shadows (or Luden's Echo if you already got Twin Shadows)!! This ( Twin Shadows) provides you with that boost of CDR to allow you to spam the @#$% out of your enemies and turn them all into your faithful slaves. The active from this amazing item will also allow you to torture your victims with a crippling slow before you rip out their souls.
There is a lot of debate about getting Liandry's Torment as well, and it does go well with Twin Shadows and Rylai's Crystal Scepter. If you want, replace Gunblade or Will of the Ancients with this utility to deal even more damage (and finish off that opponent who just barely escaped with 20 hp).


By this time you are already OP, sprinting faster than .

If you want to take this a step further and become cruel and inhumane...
Wait, this is Mordekaiser. He loves cruelty.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter will slow down your enemies enough to let even your slow teammates torture them. Combine this passive with Twin Shadows and you spell out DOOM!

The Speed Of... Snail? RQ.

So Mordekaiser is one of the slowest champions in LoL, and we all know it. This Master of Metal is so easy to run away from that he may as well be completely immobile like a turret... Right? Nope. This combination of Luden's Tempest, Twin Shadows, and Sorcerer's Shoes - Alacrity provide him with excellent mobility and ability to chase down foes. The active of Twin Shadows will FEED you throughout the game. The added effect of Rylai's Crystal Scepter will become such an annoyance to the enemy team that they will huddle in their base, quaking in fear. You will, simply put, become an inescapable MONSTER of Metal.

Mental note: If you feel the need for an excess of speed, buff a minion with Creeping Death for a nice added boost.

HP, More HP... And Even More HP. Oh, and HP Shield. GG.

This build... is so annoying that it could do with its own nerf. What say you to getting spammed by Mordekaiser's skills? The game has a max of 40% CDR (unless you're in URF), and Mordekaiser abuses this function to no end. With 40% CDR you can do a number of things:

You can keep yourself buffed with Creeping Death almost constantly. Sunfire Aegis? Who needs it. Spammable skills that already hurt a lot can save your life in teamfights and 1v2s. This allows you to keep up your Iron Man indefinitely, and with 40% spellvamp you heal a lot of the damage the enemy inflicts... Not to mention, spamming your skills would otherwise become rather taxing on your hp.

Summary: Who Needs a Team?

Mordekaiser has just been UN-nerfed. Good job, pat yourself on the back, steal some poor soul with your ult... Annoy the hell out of some unwary PvPers.

You now have most your burst damage back, you can spam your Mace of Spades + Siphon of Destruction combo, and you now have enormous spellvamp.

What was once a stationary sustain turret is now a mobile turret, capable of dishing out enourmous damage and trolling anyone out of position. What more could you ask for?

There are two mastery points in Brute Force . Use those two points however you like. Throw them at Enchanted Armor if you want extra armour/MR while buffed with Creeping Death.

The armour/MR seals can be replaced with more scaling HP regen to help you get through the early parts of the game when you have no spellvamp.
