Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is a tank build, with focus on survivability
Solo Lane or GTFO
Mord is a great champ to solo a lane (mid or 2v1 on one side), this will increase your farmming a lot and it will overlvl you, once you get higher lvls your skills and shield grants a high advantage over the enemy.
Keep in mind to play defensive until you reach lvl 6, your shield isnt that good at early lvls.
I go for Magic resist for a simple reason, this is a tank build the income dmg is mostly magic, and magic resist items are kinda expensive, so magic resist runes are a good choice. Plus with Warmog+thornmail AD will avoid you.
About the Skill Build
I lvl siphon of destruction first, you need it for shield recharging, plus it is great to slowly eat away your enemys health. I rather get mace of spades only in late game, but this is more likely a personal choice, anyway main rule is lvl siphon of destruction first, mace of spades or creeping death are more likely a personal choice (I rather creeping for shield recharge)
"You fail, your build suck, warmog suck" I lost the count of how many times i heard that in game, and late heard a "Our mord is doing great!", people just can't get the potential of warmog combined with certain items.
First of all, if you stack warmog with another warmogs or HP itens with no def than the "You fail, your build suck, warmog suck" is for you, you are just a great target for a bloodrazor.
That said lets see why warmog is good here.
- HP regen, it was better but they nerfed it, anyway i think that it still is a good item for regen.
- Warmog combined with Thornmail is just deadly for AD players, you will see how they avoid attacking you after you get that combo.
- With all those magic def runes and a FoN, AP players will have a hard time trying to destroy the HP from Warmog.
Well about first item keep that in mind you have NO mana, u will use your HP to use skills, since you need to spam a lot your skills to keep your shield full, getting a HP regen item first is a MUST, so don't even think about, get a regrowth pendant.
Hextech is just awesome for Mord, spell vamp is insane usefull, you have some high HP, high def, and 2 skills that does a lot of magic damage (creeping death and siphon of destruction), so 30% spell vamp for 2400 is a great deal, let's do the math.
If you hit 4 targets with siphon you will do like 1000dmg, that is 300HP recover at once! Same goes for Creeping, lets say that you use it and it hits 3 targets during the 6 secs duration, at lvl 5 it will do 80 dmg, so it is 80x3x6 = 1440, with the 30% = 432 HP recover. It is just awesome.
Usually game doesnt go long enough to you upgrade revolver to gunblades, but if it goes that far gunblade will be a great choice, since mord kinda doesnt have much dmg in late games, the AP from gublade will increase siphon and creeping, and the AD will work great with mace of spades.
By this time i didnt used hextechs yet, but there is the warmog, it was the first, just changed the place for the raduin shortcut.
That is it, sry for my terrible english.
Have fun pwning!
