Mace of Spades - On next hit, Mordekaiser swings his mace with such force that it echoes out, striking up to 3 additional nearby targets, dealing damage plus bonus damage. If the target is alone, the bonus damage is doubled.

This ability is my least favorite personally. There is nothing wrong with it for the end game and it is in fact a very useful damage tool, but for early game I believe that harassing with Creeping Death and Siphon of Destruction is more important...besides they do great damage and one buffs you or a friend.
Creeping Death - Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally, increasing their armor and magic resistance and dealing damage per second to enemies in the cloud.
Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally, increasing their armor and magic resistance by 10/15/20/25/30 and dealing 20/35/50/65/80 (+0.15) damage per second to enemies in the cloud for 6 seconds.
Costs 26/32/38/44/50 Health
This is my favorite of his abilities. Early on in the match this is a great harassment tool and after the last patch it is very difficult to tell which minion you whip it on. As the game progresses I find that this ability becomes more important and should be saved for more major fights and Siphon of Destruction should be used for harassment and shield generation purposes. Remember that this ability also toughens whomever it is cast on.
Siphon of Destruction - Mordekaiser deals damage to enemies in a cone in front of him. For each unit hit, Mordekaiser's shield absorbs energy.
Mordekaiser damages enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing 65/110/155/200/245 (+0.4) magic damage.
For each unit hit, Mordekaiser's shield absorbs an additional 6/9/12/15/18 health.
Costs 24/36/48/60/72 Health
This ability is one of the most annoying abilities for any non-mord playing person. It does significant damage and has a pretty decent reach which makes it great for harassment. It is also the best shield recharge ability that you have so using it in laning fights makes you extremely difficult to deal with.
Children of the Grave - Mordekaiser curses an enemy, stealing a percent of their life each second. If the target dies while the spell is active, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds.
Curses an enemy champion for 8 seconds, stealing 3/3.5/4% life per second, plus an additional 0.1% per 50 AP.
If the target dies while under the effect of the curse, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds. During this time, Mordekaiser gains 25% of their ability power, and attack damage. The spirit gains 65/75/85% + (+%) of Mordekaiser's adjusted damage, ability power, and 50% + (+%) of Mordekaiser's health.
Pets can be controlled by holding the alt key and using the right mouse button.
This is Mord's kill ability. Everyone underestimates the amount of damage that this puts out and most inexperienced players don't realize that it STEALS life. Its range is amazing and paired with ignite, it will kill most champs who are at 1/4 life or under.
Iron Man - 25% of the damage dealt from abilities is converted into a temporary shield, absorbing incoming damage.
This is the reason to play Mord. This is what makes him a powerhouse with health far beyond his current stats. When you start a fight this should be nearly full and as you continue the fight you should continue to fill it back up. When it is 2 v 2 in laning, the other 2 will have a hard time just taking down this shield.
Mordekaiser is one of my favorite champions in League of Legends and is one of my most successfully devastating champs. People who play him understand his power. He is one of the few champs who gets extremely powerful after a few items and skill lvls so his early game pushing is very strong. Those who don't believe his power in one on one fights learn quickly...or die a lot. The only major problem with Mordekaiser is his complete lack of crowd control mechanics. That is why Frozen Mallet or Randuin's Omen is a must on any Mordekaiser. Without them you give your enemies no reason to fear your power.
Is the key item to my defensive build and there are many reasons behind it. First off health regen is an early must for any good Mord and this item gives you that option. This is in no way special, but it is necessary. Randuin's gives Mord some 300 extra health which is nothing to scoff at especially when you consider that this item also has 90 armor. There isn't another item in the game with that much armor while paired with health. Sunfire is the closest with 45 armor. Now while health and armor make you a lot tougher so does the passive and activate that slow the attack speed and movement speed of those attacking you/around you. This is huge early game and makes it even more difficult to take down that shield. I saved the best for last just because of the immense difference a 15% cooldown reduction makes on Mord. It works the same for all champs in that it allows you to uses your abilities more often, but this means more for Mord than it does for most champs. Not only can you pump out a ton more damage, but you can recharge your shield even faster than before. So not only is it offensive, but it is defensive as well and if you don't believe me that it makes a huge difference just try it out. It is insane how much more powerful you become.
If you don't like my builds than at least remember this: after the necessary health regen the single most important stat on Mordekaiser is health. While a good player may notice this eventually and buy Maldred's Bloodrazor, it still makes you extremely tough to the rest of the team and gives your team a chance to blow away the other team. Also point out the people who bought Maldred's to your teammates so that they can die first. Remember: Your health doesn't have to be extremely high at the end of the game. 3500 and plenty of armor and MR is a great place to be. Getting a lot of health early on is very important though.
Overall, I love playing Mord and I hope you end up loving it too. IMO Mord is a tank/dps and if the other team feels like they can ignore you, you should show them why they can't. Now go beat in some faces!
