You commented my build, so i went to look yours.
I dont say your build is bad, in fact is very accurate, but still, i found some things which i dont agree with.

Greater seal of vigor.. If you play morde in right, you dont need much hp regen. Ik he uses hp for spells, but still, if you buy Hextech gun as first item (even before boots), than you will have enough hp regen for playing in lane. Also you must buy 1-4 health potion, which depends how strong enemy you are facing.
Among your seals i would totaly choose Greater Seal of Resilience (1.41 armor), because when i play morde i usualy focus AD carry sometimes i even go 1 v 1 with him. Armor is just "must take on morde" i think.

In items, you put Rylai's Scepter as MAYBE item. Well, among all your items you put under recommended, there is no item wich would give you HP. Rylai's Scepter is in fact good item for morde, because you can slow down enemy with spells and that especialy comes in handy when chasing enemy. In fact, i would replace Void staff with Rylai's Scepter, because i played many games with morde and i noticed, that players usualy dont build magic resist. Usualy players protect from AD champs, so thats why you dont even need Void staff, because it usualy reduces only 20 to max 40 magic resist (in case, you have good enemy tanks in game). Oh... almost forgot.. this item also helps you to rescue teammates, if they are running... you simply use E spell and slow them down.

Masteries... Great idea man, now i agree with you, that you mustn't put all points in offense!
You did perfect when giving morde cooldown reduction in defense.
My morde rule is: more cooldown -> more spell use -> more damage dealt -> more shield
These masteries are perfect!

You didn't mention heal for summoner spells... Ik, many of you will say, heal is for noobs, but i think morde can use it very well in a fight. Example: you get low on hp, some enemy notice it, attacks you and you just heal, use all your spells and get a kill. Many players underestimate morde and i often get kills this way.
But for other spell, i totaly agree with flash.. Sometimes it gets you kill, sometimes it helps you escape, its just perfect!

Hey, great build guide. I've used it and made minor tweeks to make is work for me. However I did notice you never mentioned Kog Maw's passive or Karthus's passive as a counter. Might want to. good job. +1

Awesome build , played Morde a year ago and having this build reminded me how great Morde is. Definitely a up vote!!

only armor or MR reduce (malady, black cleaver, coorki's E ...) will make armor or MR go negative.
penetration will set it to 0 (max)

i did edit my guide and i'm sorry for having misread but the reason i down voted your guide is because you have warmogs and zhonya as core item which make it look like a vlad build

no problem, there is 2builds in my guide and trust me the warmongs help average players to not get oneshoted (as morde is always focus n1 in all games) and the zhonya is one of best items for most AP chars and is awesome for morde (he can use it while his ghost keep attacking or while waiting for allies to kill ultied champ and also to dodge nuke skills for good players)
no one should build warmongs on vlad because he reach 4000hp with full build (actually my main is vlad) also the passive is better when you build AP and not HP
