Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello everyone, I'm here to introduce my build of Mordekaiser. My concept of Mordekaiser is a great tanky AP, able to take lots of damage while dealing some too. I guess there's nothing more to say, so I'll skip to the build :).
"Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head?"
This is Mordekaiser's Signature ability. This is why he's so special. Mordekaiser doesn't use a Mana Pool. Instead, he uses his Health as fuel. The other champions that uses health as fuel has a regeneration ability, but Mordekaiser doesn't. The reason he doesn't is because he can build up an armor, that can be used as his fuel also. This shield takes up any damage Mordekaiser takes. Having this shield up every time is the only way to success as Mordekaiser.
"I see it in your eyes, take one look and die, The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be, The Ace Of Spades"
Mace of Spades is an AD oriented ability, designed to deal high damage if you build yourself as an AD Mordekaiser. Personally, I use this ability to farm up some more, as I don't build as AD. This ability is also useful to deal some extra damage to enemies while pursuing them, and you can hit them in the laning phase with the aftershock if they're only kiting you. Don´t level up this ability more than you actually need, as it's really... lame. You should only use this ability to hit the enemy if he's alone. Max this up last.
"So let it be written, so let it be done To kill the first born pharaoh's son I'm creeping death"
Creeping Death is great!. While it deals pretty high damage per second to enemies around you, it also gives a lot of Defense and Magic Resist. I mainly use this to tank turrets, as you have increased defense to resist it's attacks and you can build up your shield by damaging the minions around the turret. Another great thing about Creeping Death is that you can use it on your allies if they need a defense/magic resist boost. By also buying Sunfire Cape, you deal 115 damage around you every second.
"We dance like marionettes, swaying to the Symphony Of Destruction"
Your main source of damage, shield builder and harrasser, Siphon of Destruction. While in the first level deals pretty sucky damage, leveling this up totally worths it. This is one of the reasons of why Mordekaiser is so good at laning and soloing. Also, that extra health that you get from dealing damage with this ability makes it your main ability
"Show the world that love is still alive, you must be brave, or you children of today are
Children of the Grave!"
"Oh boy! I made it! I escaped that fight!. Great, I now got to B to my base... Wait, here comes Mordekaiser. Gotta run now. Oh god, he used ghost, then I'll use it too. He can't attack me ranged, I'm too far away... *You have been slain* WHAAAAT?! Check Death Recap... Ugh, that damn Children of the Grave! FFFUUUUUUU-"
This always happens. You are in the middle of the fight, and all of 'em died, except one, who escaped. No one of your team is pursuing him, so you go after him. He sees you, and escape. You keep pursuing him, and when you're close enough to him... BAM! Ultimated him. Children of the Grave deals at level 3 stole almost 20% of the current life from the objective. While it may seem as low damage, it's a lot. Also, you keep stealing almost 2% HP every second... FOR 10 SECONDS!. If you combine this Ignite, it can completely annihilate someone. You must know that Children of the Grave can be used to surviving purposes, but if you try to do so, try to cast it on a tank, cuz you'll drain more health.
But i haven't tell you the real thrill about this ability. If you kill someone with this or the objective dies while they have this curse in, YOU'LL GAIN THEIR SOUL!. Yeah, really. The soul works as a pet. You can move it directly by clicking with ALT pressed, or you can move and it will follow you. While this soul is under your control, you gain a buff for the duration. Your ghost also gains a buff, getting bonus health and other stuff. There are many different souls. The bests souls are AD ranged and AD melee, although a good tank soul is also useful.
If you want to deal a lot of damage, try to get an AD melee damage ( Tryndamere, Master Yi, Nocturne, etc.), as they're more propense to have high damage output. For tanking purposes, get Rammus, Shen, etc. To attack turrets, get an AD ranged. Support and caster characters can only be used as little tanks, as they have no AD, so the only good thing they have is the buffed Health
