Morgana, The Fallen:
Morgana was the first Champ I ever played and since then I've jumped around between a few different Champions including Sivir, Shaco, Tristana, and Veigar. However I returned to Morgana and brought back a lot of experience. This guide incorporates that experience in its item build, skill build and playstyle tips below. I've done very well with this build but Morgana does require skill and good judgment.
I use Teleport and Clarity. I like the mobility that Teleport provides. It's great for getting back in lane after healing/buying/dying or for defending a Turret that's under attack or getting to a teamfight quickly. I use clarity mainly because I am constantly running out of mana early game and clarity + Morgana's passive spell vamp lets me stay in lane forever.
This build is built around the basic theory that more ability power = more damage. So all the runes are AP per level. By 18, you'll over 80 AP from the runes alone.
I feel like most of my choices should be pretty obvious. Ability Power per level from Archmage's Savvy. Then I put a point into Deadliness simply because I do not use Exhaust or Smite in this build. From there cooldowns and magic penetration are easy choices over attack speed, physical damage and damage to minions. In Utility, health and mana regen take priority. Extra mana, experience, and cooldown reduction are extremely helpful and so is movement speed, since Morgana is a pretty slow Champion. I put a point into Spatial Accuracy because I like Teleport, but you can put that point into Good Hands for the reduction in time spent dead if you want.
First, grab Doran's Ring. It makes you less squishy gives you much needed mana regen and some extra AP. Next, because I tend to burn through mana like there's no tomorrow, I get Tear of the Goddess. It completely solves any mana problems I have and by the time you have enough movey for the Sorcerer's Shoes, you'll be able to cast all the spells you want without having to go back to get more mana. Sorcerer's Shoes by this point will be a necessity. The extra speed is needed and the magic pen. helps you do more damage. Next, get either a blasting wand or, if you can afford it, just go for the Archangel's Staff. They give you more AP and therefore more damage. Now is the point where I'm usually feeling threatened and I'm starting to be focused. I pick up a Giant's Belt to get less squishy and then build it into Rylai's Crystal Sceptor for the additional AP and a cool slowing effect on Tormented Soil and Soul Shackles. Usually the game will end in this general timeframe but if it doesn't go for a Zhonya's Ring for lots more AP. Now you'll have one free spot and if for some reason the game still isn't over, you can go for another Zhonya's or a Lich Bane.
