Introduction

The Laning Phase
Your Q serves as a great form of harass or last hitting, but be careful to not miss as it takes a decent portion of your health when you miss. Your passive is also pretty beneficial in the laning phase and throughout the whole game as it provides constant regeneration – sometimes it might be that saving factor when you're ignited. W let's you trade really well against melee champions because you can use it to damage them as they try to last hit minions. Your E is one of the strongest physical damage steroids in the game, it will give you an absurd amount of damage starting at level 1. With all of these factors combined, Mundo makes for a pretty damn dominating bruiser in lane.

Strengths: Sustainability
Mundo boasts a heavy amount of sustainability in lane due to his passive and his ultimate. You should always start with a Doran's Shield and a potion in lane as that will give you the most sustain. Once you hit level 6, if you're pretty low on HP don't be afraid to pop your ult to get back to full HP and at the same time whittle your opponent down a bit. Your ultimate doesn't have too long of a cooldown so don't be stingy with it if it means a possible death.

Going Where You Please and Not Getting Ganked
With your crowd control reduction and the movement speed from your ultimate, you can usually escape most ganks in the top lane. Simply use your W first so the initial stuns/slows have a reduced effect, then pop your ultimate as you reach 3/5-1/2 HP so you don't lose toomuch health and thus risk death. As your HP regenerates at an insane pace, your movement speed should be able to get you out of harms way while you hammer at them with slows from your cleavers. However, be wary of enemy ignites and other healing reduction effects, as they will usually result in you sacrificing a huge chunk of your HP for your ultimate with no benefit.

Use Cleaver to Check Brush
Dont just face check a brush when you are playing mundo; use your cleaver! If you have your volume up, you will hear the sound of hitting rotten flesh.

Team Fight
All you need to do in teamfights is to zone as much people as you can. If you sit on enemys AP and AD carry it's pretty much free win for you, because your team should take care of the rest.
