this is zataro8 and this is my first time making a build guide so please bear with me if you think that this is ******ed and I am to, I assure you that it can be quite good in the right hands.

The runes I use are quite standard, with the exception of the glyphs, I know that they are secondary glyphs but the extra attack speed can be devestating.

Now I would be an idiot to suggest anything besides 21 masteries in offence but the nine in utility is a little more iffy, varus may be squishy but i personally think that the extra mana/regen is more useful then the extra armour and MR.

start with tier one boots, two health potions and a mana potion. later upgrade your boots to berserkers greaves, and grab a vampiric scepter. If farming goes well get your best friend sword (if not start building a zeal and leave it there for now) once you get your blood thirster finish the phantom dancer and get what i think is the most underestimated jewel in lol, the ionic spark it gives you a nice chunk of health and attack speed is second only to the phantom dancer, also MAGIC LIGHTNING BOLTS!!!!!!! later work on the great tank slaying last whisper and very late game infinity edge for the nice critical damage boost.

it may seem weird to max out the blighted quiver first, but the bonus magic damage can meand the difference from a kill and a close call, plus it costs no mana, and varus is a very mana hungry champion, but of course afterwards get the iconic piercing arrow then hail of arrows and your ultimate whenever you can.

most people say take heal with varus but clarity can give you better sustain (especially since your health is covered by lifesteal) and flash, flash is a no brainer.
