Introduction

Hello! I am TheBraveUlysses, AKA So Goooooooooood. (Something like that.) After playing Nasus for around a year and having many victories from solo tops and the occasional mid, I have decided to put my build on Mobafire for all to see. This is also my first build. o.o Now, I've seen many Nasus's, (or Nasii, if you please), in both normal and ranked games do well, but not great. Most build tanky or go with extremely carry-like builds, and this either doesn't do enough damage or makes them the target of CC and eventually they are focused down quickly. Nasus is a strategic champion, and can be the turning tide of every game. If Nasus is doing badly, chances are your team is doing worse. Onto the guide!

Runes

Nasus relies on heavy damage and tankability, so for Quintessences i usually take 3 Greater Quintessence of Desolation or 3 . This depends on the team you are playing with. Pre-mades ftw! Now, for marks, regardless of Quints, I take 9 Greater Mark of Desolation for the extra armor pen. This is greatly needed against the many tanky characters you'll need to kill to get your quadras, pentas, etc.

Glyphs are more of a choice thing on Nasus, I usually take 9 for spamming Q. Gets you more farm, more CC and essentially more damage. The only other thing I would suggest are to counter Nasus's low MR. I love the cooldowns, though, so I end up taking 9 just to help him out. Another option would be to use or for more armor to jungle or counter physical dps and to regen his low amount of mana.

Items

Core Items

The items are the most important part of the guide, and because his build is fairly expensive, you need to be racking up both creep kills and champion kills. I start with a and a health pot. This keeps you sustainable in lane and able to harass without fear of having to recall. Nasus does have a low amount of mana and high cost skills, so a would work well with him. Build the into a and get .

By now, you should be around level 8-10 and should have enough for at least a and your . Okay. Here it is. Almost EVERY Nasus i've played with or against takes . I'm fine with that. You can switch them out if need be. But those same Nasus's have missed kills numerous times purely because they cannot catch up to the with or the Ashe with 2 . have gotten me more kills than I can count.

Around 13-15 you should have gotten your and started working on a . A lot of times, if your team comp is great, you will have won or the enemy team will be surrendering. On the off chance they don't, keep building into a and keep racking up kills. Youmu's helps especially on Baron for taking it out quickly and cleanly.

By 18, you should have a and , if not your . If you for some reason haven't won yet, build up to an for some extra damage.

Skill Sequence

I choose to max first, not because of damage but from cooldowns. Lower cooldowns means more spammable skills, and leads into higher damage on his Siphoning Strike. Finishing of those minions also gets you more farm for your build. Take a point in at level 2 for farming, and for catching squishies off guard. Take a point in your whenever possible.

After is maxed, work on and equally, starting with Wither.

Summoner Spells

On Nasus, there are always people prone to get away, as Nasus is able to be kited easily. gives him a bit of range, lets him finish off champions, enables him to fight , , , and other lifesteal champions. An alternative to would be , which counters backdooring and just gives Nasus even more mobility.

doesn't really need an explanation, but it is used both in sticky situations and huge pushes. If you're being ganked by an entire team, just Wither the dps and flash out of there. Boots of Swiftness and the lead on the team should keep you alive, and if need be, just pop your Ulti for some extra life. is a useful skill simply because Nasus can be kited on minions while trying to kill a champion. This will get you to the enemy and through the minions easily.

Team Work

Nasus works really well in large fights, with his double AOE from his and his to reduce Armor even more. Staying in a fight till the very end is crucial for Nasus, and you sometimes may have to die for your team. This is why items like , , and aren't recommended, because you will lose your stacks.

Aura's, of course benefit any team well, and make Nasus more buff. Ask your to buy a , or your to pick up an . These benefit Nasus very well.
