When to play Nasus
Nasus can carry a team just as well as anyone... however he is not the best choice in many situations. He is best played solo top which means you need a jungler on your team. Less viable option would be bottom with a support but he has natural life steal so that is kind of an overkill. The reason for this is because of him Q ability which will be explained later. Don't ever forget Nasus is probably the best 1v2 in the game in-case the other team doesn't have a jungler
he should be played as a tanky dps so if you see a Jarvan, Gangplank, Lee Sin, Renekton ect... DONT PLAY HIM!!! you dont need 2 melee dps on your team unless you are premade.
Please make a balanced team for the most success.
Pay attention to the item order it is very important! You don't need the whole trinity force first only the sheen. Boots are important but you only get them when you need them it depends on the situation. Now you get giants belt because 430hp makes the opponents life a living hell...
Now you finish trinity then infinity edge, warmog/sunfire we dont have MR because its in the runes.
Time to finish it off, we have tons of hp so Atma's impaler gives that extra ad not to mention the critical chance. Finally a guardian angel witch can be any defense item really... Depends on the match but you may need more MR so you can get a force of nature of Banshee veil.
I have played so many matches with Nasus and i carry my team probably 3 out of 5 times your a threat early middle and late game. Most champs are only good in 1 or 2 stages of the game. He is less effective early game but your not going to be fighting anyways you farming!
This is Nasus bread and butter. The reason you want solo top is to farm this bad boy. Every time you kill a creep or enemy you will receive +3 the next time you use it. In a good game i can get this to about 200 bonus damage by minute 15.
Hopefully your team isn't incompetent and will let you sit and farm for 20min+ because if they do well its pretty much gg.
My build is built around this ability, being able to proc trinity force and the ability to crit with it makes it a double whammy causing the death of the other team.
This skill works perfectly on Nasus. Many people use this skill way to early it does no damage and if they decide to fight you well you wasted your mana. You should auto attack imidiatly follow with q. They will find out they cant kill you and run... well this is the perfect time to whither and keep on hitting them.
However if the enemy decides to stay and fight you want to throw this under them. its going to reduce their armor and do damage what else can you ask for? Make sure you can pop a Siphoning Strike while they are in it so they have reduced armor.
These things can happen fast but put it where you think it will be the most effective.
This skill is amazing when laning 1v2 top. Your going to want to put and extra few points in this so you can kill the mages with only spirit fire.
When people are attacking your building put this under them and they will probly think otherwise about attacking it.
Fury of the Sands
This ability is the reason i don't go tank with Nasus. He gains an extra 600 hp at max lv and does a 3% damage to the enemies around him, if your thought that was good well think again he takes 6% of the damage done and adds it to his attack damage until the ultimate wears off (15seconds).
Your going to want to pop this right before you take damage and when your close enough to do damage to the enemies. Remember whiter well that will let you keep anyone in range of you which is going to increase you attack damage by alot. Dont be a **** and last hit the champs with you Q rather use it to do damage to the people who do the most damage on the enemy team.
This skill is really helpfull to kill an early dragon remember you have teleport so right before lv 6 push your lane recall back and get your jungler to go to dragon. doing % damage on the dragon makes it fall really quickly giving everyone on your team and extra 180 gold. now you can tele back to your lane. The same is true wit this for Baron if you can get like 2 other peope on your team at like lv 11 or 12 you can take it down very quickly
1.Farm you Q!
2.You can do more damage then your opponents think use that to your advantage.
3.When no one is around while your farming don't use spirit fire! just walk around minions and Q every time you can kill one.
4.You have tons of damage and hp you should be the second one in the fight.
5.You need a tank on your team to be effective!
1.Effective at all stages of game
2.Doesn't die easy
3.Deals big nuke damage followed with Damage Over Time(DOT)
4.Pushes like a mad man
7.Naturally fast (325 to start)
1.Not good unless solo top
2.No escape mechanism (besides flash)
3.Dies easy to % damge like Kog of Amummu (Madreds)
4.People think he is the tank but he isn't effective when tanking
