Mastery Tree Is Outdated
WARNING: These masteries are still using the old tree and have not been updated to the new tree by the guide author. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Nasus is one of the best solo top champions. Very good/fast farming, escapability and endurance. He can also tank a whole team and even carry your team to victory.
In order to do so, you must survive gangs and farm yourSiphoning Strikea lot.

- Low ratio of escapability during lane phase
Starting withCloth Armor boosts your armor to endure early harassments and gangs. Later turn it intoFrozen Heart.
Buy single Boots and after that aPhilosopher's Stone. Then upgrade your boots intoMercury's Treads orNinja Tabi depending on what you need that particular time.
Trinity Force is THE item for Nasus imo. It boosts abilities that Nasus most need. But you must not build it straight away. Start withSheen and build the rest later.
Warmog's Armor+Atma's Impaler is a very nice combination item for almost every tank/off-tank champion. Nasus gets more beasty and strikes harder too. Build aWarmog's Armor and then finish yourTrinity Force. After that you can start building yourAtma's Impaler.
Frozen Heart is trully an item that fills Nasus's last gaps. Extra armor, additional amount of mana to your pool and cd reductions. Also Nearby enemies suffer −20% attack speed. So start building it with an earlyGlacial Shroud.
Force of Nature will make you really strong against magic damage so it's highly recommended.
Another recommended tanky item for Nasus isRanduin's Omen which will make you more beefy. Also it does a very good combo withFrozen Heart so that makes you a bit spammy and helps your farm a lot.
Banshee's Veil gives you protection from dangerous crowd control spells and also gives you tanky stats like m.resistance and health.
A good/cheap solution against a very early fed Attack Damage Carry isThornmail. Well,Frozen Heart is way better but if you can't manage to get it early, this one is wise a option.
Nasus Teamfight Placing
As soon as you start building some health, m.resistance and armor you are able to tank your team to victory or why not to carry them as well.
As a tank you engage first giving the right focus and your team will assist you.
UseWither on the focused targets andSiphoning Strike them to death. When the maximum enemies's amount of damage starts to flow open your Fury of the Sands.
If your enemy team is not splitted enough then use a full value of yourSpit Fire for additional dps.
While defending a turret use yourSpit Fire a lot to stop minion waves. UseWither to protect your teammates from enemy turret dives. UseFury of the Sands to give an additional protection to your turret as a tank.
Ghost will help you escape jungler early gangs at top.
Also boosting your movement speed helps you to hunt your target and with yourWither's help you make target's escape harder.
Teleport is very nessesairy when you play at top. Teleporting back after a fast recall for shop means that you don't lose farm advantage. Also you can sudden gang bottom/mid lanes if they are warded. Finally teleport is a good way to backdoor farm minions and turrets.
Highly recommended Summoner Spell as well is of courseFlash but personally I preferGhost.
Low recommendation but sometimes effective isCleanse for removing annoying debuff.
Exhaust is also a highly recommended Summoner Spell if you are a fan of it. Getting you out of trouble instantly or helps you gain some advantage while hunting an enemy.
