Nasus, a great off-tank. Can be played physical, caster, or pure tank. This build focuses on being a physical off-tank who can solo your opponents carry and still be around to take on the rest of the team.

*Job Description*
As an off-tank your job is to support your team by disabling the opponents carry (wither), controlling the fight (ultimate, spirit fire), outputting damage (siphoning strike) and knowing when to chase/flee.

You are not the initiator, you are the second man to go into the fight. let Amumu bandage toss in, and stun then run in wither the carry, cast spirit fire and start siphoning away.

Now as far as his ultimate is concerned. Know when to use it. Do not initiate with it, it will scare there team off and you just wasted your ulti. Save for when your about 75%-50% health, pop and start life stealing, and controlling that team fight. You can use it also as a safety factor to save yourself from Karthus, Morde, Ignite due to the health increase.

*Items*
You will be building siphoning strike through last hits, and lane controlling with spirit fire. Unless your laning with soraka, you will be mana hungry. Hence the meki pendant first.

Now i build this into chalice for early-mid game. This helps until mana regen ruins build up enough that your really don't need it anymore. Also after level six, feel free to grab the Golem buff if you feel mana starved.

Boots, Mercury Treads or Ninja Tabi are your friends, help you live longer and dish out pain longer. Use accordingly against heavy CC/Caster Team or Heavy physical team

Trinity force is great on Nasus. Sheen makes siphoning hit like a truck, phage slows on your hits, and you attack faster thanks to the zeal. All things you'll appreciate. Sheen is the first thing you want to get always. After that you can go Aegis before you finish trinity force if your team needs the buff.

Aegis is a great team boosting item that gives armor, Magic resist, and health.

Stark's Fervor gives your team another buff, builds on your natural lifesteal and gives you some seriously nice attack speed. This item really shines if your carry or other physical teamates get one as well.

Sunfire Cape, This just helps with surviavablity and can be replaced with banshee veil if the opposing team is high caster based. The aoe damage is disgusting with your ulti damage. Overall a good final item to get.

Now if it gets late game, and you have the gold, sell your chalice and get a black cleaver. Now you'll hit harder, strip armor with your attacks and just be a better overall hero.
