Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome to my Nasus guide!
This is my 1st guide that I've decided to make. A lot of people think that you shouldn't farm up Nasus' Q in the beginning of the game. I disagree. Unless you are in a 2v1 situation, there is no need to do this. Your main goal as Nasus is obviously to farm up as many Q minion hits as possible so that you can solo dominate the other team in late game!
Okay, hear me out here. I don't get armor. That's because with Nasus' lifesteal and extremely high health at late game, you shouldn't need it from the runes. I do spec into defense in mastery so this helps some. Nasus is very mana dependent early game especially if you are in a solo lane. You want to have flat mana runes because of this. Late game, it shouldn't be an issue.
I go down the defense tree just enough to get some good defense and enough utility that I can stay in my lane constantly no matter the threat.
This is where I lose a lot of people. I assure you this is an amazing build, however.
Start off by getting a mana crystal, health/mana pot. The pots are really up to you, but I like to have 1 mana since Nasus' has passive lifesteal and is so mana hungry early game.
Get a Sheen next, KEY item for Nasus to get. We will later build this into a Trinity Force. I actually try to get my Sheen before my boots because like I said, Nasus' goal is to stay in the lane early and try to farm as much as possible. Besides, do you really need boots when you have the best slow in the game?
Phage next, helps Nasus begin to be tanky and a nice passive to boot.
Get your Aegis of the Legion, an amazing item for Nasus. Helps him out with being tanky but doesn't punish his DPS severely if you are correctly farming with his Q!
Build your items into a Trinity Force, the reasoning is pretty self-explanatory.
Now, get a Warmog's Armor? Yes. This gives Nasus so much HP it's ridiculous. You might say, yeah but I want to do some DPS too! Well, you will if farming with your Q. Besides, look at the next item...
Atma's Impaler! Yes, by this point in the game you should have roughly 4k health. Slap an Atma's on and you are unkillable and do massive amounts of damage. This build really works.
At this point in the game I would say if you guys are dominating, just build some AD stuff. A Bloodthirster never hurt anyone...except the other team. If you aren't doing so well, just become a super tank and still do a lot of damage. You can pretty much do either role extremely well at this point in the game with my build.
Just going to defend myself here on Q pumping. Nasus' Q got buffed a little while back. It now does even MORE damage when you farm with it. I say take advantage of it and farm farm farm. This is your key to becoming a beast...literally.
Pros / Cons
Nasus' Q move is deadly late game
Builds tank and does damage
Farms minions very well
Best slow in the game IMO
Ultimate is one of the best as well
Has the sexiest voice in-game
Mana hungry early game
Spirit Fire is easily dodgeable (another reason we don't max it first)
Can be weak really early game, you have to be kinda careful
I personally love Ghost on Nasus. I think it is a must-have spell. Along with his W, who can you NOT catch?
I like to use exhaust on Nasus. A lot of people will disagree and say that he already has his W, well I can say I see that being a valid argument. I use Exhaust because their team always has 2 DPS characters. Focus one with W, dead. Focus another with Exhaust, dead. That's how I play Nasus.
Ignite isn't a terrible option, especially if there's a Mundo or something.
If I see you get heal on Nasus...I kill you.
