I do not understand the armor, why so much? Your effective health will decrease since you got tons of it(almost 300) but no freaking mr? Do you know what Malz gonna do? Oh herra, ->pool->ult = u in the bottom of the ocean again. One half decent mr item does not substitute skipping the whole mr thing. It is better to have 210mr and 210 armor than 150 mr and 280 armor generally if the enemy team does not consist of a herpaderp 4 ad:s.

Totaly agree with you

I wont donwvote, but by experience of tanking for a team id say this is not a very good item build

1. you are a tank, and you can survive without taking kills. But if you steal most of your kills from your carrys, you will loose the game, no matter how fed you are. So let them have the MAIN damage, and let them have Mpen boots. Use ninja tabi, cdr or mercury at all times.

2. You got your own mass slow, so you really dont need it with Rylias. Change it for more durability.

3. Optionall i would ad Rabadons deathcap, as it will give you a lot of damage and if you initiate, you will lower the health of your oponents so that the carrys can take the kills. Great for any Ap offtank. Much better then losing much space to items that do "bits" of damage.

4.change some Armor for MR. An unbalanced tank is a dead tank.. dont give the casters the pleasure to make you run before the fight even starts ><

5. Tanks are made to engage, so change your runes.. Mpen marks are fine, all other Mpen and Ap should go away.
Glyphs- Mr per lvl
Seals- preferably health per lvl
Quints- flat health
Even if your going Ap, without Survivability you will be useles, just like a teemo that wants to tank..

6. No need for mana regen glyps. Give yourself extra health, remove those masteries in offence and put them in Utility for that mana. Especially not mana regen per lvl :( thats for karthus.. After you get frozne heart, you will have enough mana..

7. A tank to be dangerous means he can do some dmg, and CC THE OPPONENTS, while your team finishes them off. Not you finishing them off, Thats why you should buy more CDR, or take it in the defence tree. From 30% to 35% is enough i guse..

Now that comment to vote is off, you're getting alot more downvotes :/ Anyways it's a very nice Tanky AP build, and the guide is pretty nice, too. I would recommend adding more to the gameplay section. You explain your cheat sheet very well but you could add more to gameplay. Regardless, a +1 from me

Did a little more experimentation. Cleanse hasn't really helped all too much, during gameplay - I've swapped it with Ignite for much better effect. Ghost has helped, but it's about on par with flash; choice on that one really depends on how you play and your experience with the character.

The other thing to note, and I'm not sure if you put this in the build, is that it's very reliant on blue buff as soon as possible, and as frequently as possible at least until the late game.

So - replace cleanse with ignite, and towards late-mid to late game replace Doran's Ring with Sunfire Cape. I'll let you know if I figure anything else out.

You shouldn't go full AP early, its horrible. At least you shuld take some defence in beginning, Nautilus has low Armor and Magic resistance. Also Cleanse is pretty useless imo. Text for laning is pretty short.

Nautilus's power really comes to his CC when doing AP. I've been following your build, and it's pretty decent - the only thing I'd like to suggest (something I tried in a few matches already) is once you have your set-up, at least for the most part (late-mid to end game) replace Doran's Ring with the Sunfire Cape for added CC and tank; this helps mop up the runners if you can stay just close enough, and also factors into that group damaging Nautilus is so good at.
