Welcome to my League of Legends Champion Build, featuring Nasus, the Curator of the Sands. (Phreak got nothin' on me!) Nasus is one of my personal favorite champions, and I really enjoy how he got some love in the latest patch. Otherwise, how would he be able to beat Renekton? Anyhow, thanks for your time and enjoy!
Pros / Cons
Massive AOE Ultimate
Has a Super-Slow (Wither)
Deals HUGE late game damage
Adaptable - Fits Tank or DPS roles well
Skills use a lot of mana
Gets focused often
Slower than other champions
For Nasus, I prefer summoner spells that can be used in a variety of situations. My personal favorites are;
If you prefer, use spells like;
I don't use these too much on Nasus. Exhaust is handy, but pales in comparison to Wither. Flash just has a bit too long of a cooldown, and Ignite has let me down too much in the past. If you swear by these spells, go ahead and use them. That's your prerogative.
Quints: I like CDR quints on Nasus simply for the reason that it allows you to use Siphon Strike more often, as well as helping with the CDs on Wither and Spirit Fire
Glyphs: I take a bit of everything, some more CDR and some mana and mana regen
Marks: My favorite marks give Armor Penetration and some attack speed
Seals: I prefer some more mana regen and attack speed
Soul Eater: A great passive, some natural lifesteal
Siphoning Strike: This is Nasus' bread & butter. It imbues your giant hammer thing with some energy then deals a more powerful physical attack. The real kicker about this is that when Nasus lands a killing blow with Siphoning Strike, it permanently gains some damage (3 dmg/last hit). EVERY OPPORTUNITY YOU GET you should use this ability. It costs a pittance of mana, so don't be afraid to spam it.
Wither: This is Nasus' only CC ability. It slows the enemy by a HUGE amount for a great deal of time. Excellent for chasing and/or getting away. Also reduces the enemies attack speed, so it can be used to reduce the damage dealt by high attack speed champions.
Spirit Fire: Nasus twirls his green hammer and then an AOE spirit flame is summoned at the target location. Deals a good deal of damage, and is excellent for reversing snowballs. At later levels, it can take out a group of caster minions with one application.
Fury of the Sands: This spell is absolutely fantastic. When I play Nasus, I have a personal panic button; I call it "R". Nasus summons a sandstorm in an area around him, gaining a good amount of health as well as dealing constant magic damage to enemies caught in the storm. All of the damage he sapps is converted into attack damage for the duration of the spell.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Movement speed and CDR, two very important tools for Nasus
Infinity Edge: AD, and a proc that makes your crits stronger = WIN
Trinity Force: This item just screams "NASUS"! It has everything he needs, AP, AD, attack speed, some move speed, as well as the proc from Sheen.
Force of Nature: All around good item, health regen and magic resistance
Sunfire Cape: Armor and a constant AOE damage along with a hefty dash of health
The Bloodthirster: Great damage and lifesteal
As always, feel free to change up the purchase order or substitute an item. The key to victory is flexibility on the battlefield!
Nasus is an extremely adaptable Tanky-DPS champion. One of his greatest attributes is his slow, Wither. Use this whenever you enter a fight, its a HUGE slow that lasts for an extremely long time. Spirit Fire deals a good amount of damage and debuffs the enemy's armor, so remember that when you enter combat.
Another of Nasus' traits is his capacity to solo-lane. Spirit Flame makes him one of the best farmers in the game, and as such you can reverse snowballs or take out a bunch of caster minions at once. Given the choice between a Nasus solo and a Vladimir solo, my choice would be Nasus. This guy can hold a turret forever, with passive lifesteal and Spirit Flame.
