Basic tips, more detailed to follow:
- Try and get either mid or solo top, Nidalee is a fantastic solo lane champion.
- Make sure you have at least 1 rank in each skill before you reach level 6 in order to maximize the effectiveness of Cougar Form.
- After you initiate Javelin Toss, run backwards; the greater the distance between you and the target, the more damage the javelin will do.
- Nidalee is perfect for a lightning-strike approach to combat. Try not to stay in the thick of things unless you know your team is reliable, and even then be cautious. Instead, use Pounce (and Flash if necessary) to keep yourself out of the fight until your abilities are up.
- Use your traps as often as possible, especially if you're in a solo lane. If placed properly, they're nearly as effective as wards.
- After level 6, use Cougar Form and Pounce to reduce your travel time. Added bonus, every ability in Cougar Form adds stacks to Tear of the Goddess!
- Don't underestimate the pushing power of Primal Surge. With Nidalee's inherent mobility you can ninja your way to a turret, push it, and escape before the other team can respond.
- When in Cougar Form, make sure your rotation is W-E-Q (followed by W to Pounce out of range, if necessary). Making sure Takedown is used after your other abilities can greatly increase the damage it deals.
