Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome to my guide for nidalee. This is how I play her. There maybe some things we dont see eye to eye on and you don't agree with. If that's that case then read a different guide or do it your own way. This is my way, its proven to be effective time and time again, i'm merely looking to give other people ideas and tips they may use.
Magic penetration marks. Mp5 seals. For glyphs its preference, ap per level are great, flat ap are good for a strong laning phase, cdr runes are also a VERY good choice. Quints are also preference, although i recommend magic pen, cdr, or ap.
I recommend Exhaust+flash if your a more passive player, im personally rather aggressive and i prefer Exhaust+Ignite for early game kills and to reduce everybody's healing. Ghost i dont believe is needed with merc treads and pounce in cougar form your gonna be hard enough to catch as it is.
Nidalee is great for playing ranked, she can be played as a soft carry/support. I've never heard of her being banned, her laning phase is quite powerful so as a mid hero your basically un-beatable. I've stomped every hero in mid with her. Bottom line is she is a great choice for ranked play.
Pros / Cons
-One of the strongest mids when played right.
-Eats turrets like butter
-Does on hell of alot of damage too.
-Excellent map awareness for your noob team mates thanks to traps
-Great heal for your Atack damage carry or anybody dying.
-Fun to play
-Takes a while to master her
-Takes even longer to master team fighting with her
-Shut down with ignite+CC
-Not a true carry but can depending on the situation
-She sucks hard before level 6
Creeping / Jungling
When you get cougar form stop last hitting as much and begin to focus farming with your pounce, swipe, takedown combo, its much more effective, if you chose to lane with somebody then you can free roam the jungle ganking and farming nuetrals (soft jungling)
I don't recommend going for a straight jungling nidalee, it CAN be done i tried it and she's just so much more valuable in a lane.
HEAL YOUR AD CARRY WHEN FIGHTING!!!!!! even if they are at full life the attack speed buff helps them out soooo much.
dont heal your tanks too much unless absolutely needed, focus on dying team mates to keep them alive.
Your not an initiator, don't be the first one in. Be the last one out. That being said, what you should do is, in teh beginning of the fight toss in some spears, play like a support healing your team mates, when you feel safe jump into cougar and hit one of the low life enemies, your a great chaser and should be able to take out anybody who flees the fight but DO NOT leave your team mates behind while they're getting slaughtered or chase somebody away from the fight until atleast 2 or 3 of the other team is dead, you don't want to leave 4 enemies behind to chase one out, you'll be leaving your team vulnerable.
Well, She is the only hero with 7 spells.
Her spear hits for 250% damage at full range, however, if you throw it and switch to cougar and pounce backwards in the opposite direction of where you threw it you can hit for 300% damage so try to always back up after ever time you throw the spear.
Another note, if somebody DOES step on your trap then it's time to get aggressive. with reduced resistances you'll be pumping out alot more damage on them.
