Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Summary: this build looks very strange if you are accustomed to the game as low skill players assume it is meant to be played. You will rarely, unless it's easy pickings, participate in teamfights. Try it before rating and commenting.
Always buy as far as possible if you die or are forced to recall.
Trip 1: doran's ring, health pot
Trip 2: sheen+Boots of swiftness
Boots help chase down kills and get you to backdoors faster (all too often i lose kills using mercury treads or ninja tabi) (mercury treads if enemies are 4-5 magic OR have 3-4 spam slows, ninja tabi if enemies are 3-5 physical DPS, tanks count as half).
Trip 3: Guinsoo. sometimes a single trip for the blasting wand.
trip 4: trinity force or just the blasting wand first too. you can sell doran's now.
Trip 5: brutalizer
trip 6: youmuu's
trip 7: glacial shroud
Note: if the enemy has 3+ magic dmg get guardian angel instead of frozen heart. optionally buy the null-magic mantle before nashor's tooth.
trip 8: BF sword
trip 9: frozen heart
trip 10: the bloodthirster
note: If you need to backdoor STILL at this point, replace your guinsoo with a last whisper.
Runes: Arpen for early game and pushing, some AP for heals and lich
Masteries: standard ap carrier masteries.
Early game (level 1-7 or 10):
You go mid as much as possible (stress it hard), harrass with normal attacks and if possible javelin toss. Get your enemy to about 400, maybe 500/600 hp then kill them with a kitty combo. (can use flash to gain distance). Only last hit minions unless they are pushing your tower hard. Once you get cat form lasthit till they push tower then wipe them all out with pounce+swipe+takedown, repeat. Try to get the tower down, but dont require it, and you should leave mid and gank (assuming your opponents are not turtles) once you get sheen and boots. Sometimes wait for level 11 to leave mid, if your opponents are good. If they are turtles, just farm till the mid tower is down.
Mid game (10-16):
Gank gank gank and moar gank. Feel free to make trips for items outside the scheduled ones if there is nothing to gank or kill, or it is dangerous. Farm when you can't gank.
Late game (18): Lolrape. Don't charge 5 enemies and u will go godlike.
-Use pounce wisely, before you get CDR save it for escapes in team fights and you can use it to initiate in small fights.
-Keep jungle buffs as much as possible
-Heal as often as possible, your mana isn't lacking.
-Don't use javelin if you're low-mid on mana and aren't sure if you'll hit. (except KB's)
-Don't be ******ed and chase people into their jungle. Just javelin and turn around.
-Lay a trap every time you pass a bush. Be smart and put them at chokepoint angles too.
-YOU FARM AND BACKDOOR. Rarely should you be helping in a teamfight unless it's a curb stomp for sure.
Nidalee is very hard to play but with this guide pretty much anyone can at least be average. Experienced players will find this to be THE best way to carry low elo teams.
