Before you dive into the details this guide isn't fully complete. I wanted to get my item build up and some of my little details finished. I'm waiting to make some gameplay videos that I will hopefully have up by the end of the month. If your going to comment or rate this guide, please do so after either playing with this build, or inviting LuckyJuke to play a game with you. This guide goes into how to play Nidalee effectively with my build. My Nidalee is not a faceroll cougar. If you like jumping into team fights into cougar form, you won't like this guide. Dont Rate. Dont Comment.
Nidalee Spearskill is a Spear Throwing monster with the ability to heal teammates for more than her spears hit. I love this play style for many reasons, and my favorite reason being, Spearskill. Spear Skill and Spears Kill. Upon mastering your spear throwing, you will love this build and the kills that come with it.

Nidalee Spearskill

Prowl - Awesome. One of a kind.

Javelin Toss / Takedown - Spearskill. Your favorite skill in this build and the first thing you want to max.

Bushwhack / Pounce - Traps. ARE VERY IMPORTANT. Not only do they give sight, but they reduce your targets magic resist by a PERCENTAGE. Pounce, learn your wall limits and you will love it.

Primal Surge / Swipe - Heals are amazing in this build. Swipe, always rotate your char for this to hit, dont just spam it after a pounce, it does a nice amount of dmg.

Aspect Of The Cougar - LOVE IT.

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration - Spearskill

Between Traps and a Void Staff, Magic Pen runes will give your spears that much more impact. Its fun seeing people B after 1 spear. ^.^

Greater Seal of Magic Penetration - We love cougar and they love to hate it

Why not let people hate our cougar more by dodging a couple more attacks while we slip away? and maybe one last hit with luck :P

Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction - You rely heavy on your spears and Heals. CDR will make them come around a little bit quicker, and right before your enemy realizes they are in a bad spot, its to late for them! Spearskill!

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed - Your never gonna catch me!

Okay, this section might get some hate. Why not Fortitude? Okay, if you play this build your going to notice how squishy you are. If you've ever played a squishy character, this Nidalee is going to be much squishier. You CANNOT take damage with this build. So to overcome that, we make your character faster. 4.5% from quints and 3% from talents, oh and you gotta love prowl. Make them "Fear the wild."

My Mastery Tree is self explanitory.
From the offensive tree I grab the 15% Magic Pen from Archaic Knowledge and combined with a Void Staff gives me magic Pen cap at 49%.
From the utility tree I grab all the good stuff, such as improved Ghost, experience increase, increased buff duration, cool down reduction and improved Flash.

I really don't see any other mastery build being as effective, rather than trading 4 points of increased experience into 4 points of increased maxed mana. I prefer the experience increase because I normally take solo lanes, either mid or 1v2, and get ahead in the game early so I can move from lanes and into the jungle where I have the most fun playing Nidalee.

I've completely fell in love with this item build.
Meki Pendant + 2 Heal Potions - With this setup, by level 4 you will either be healing yourself consitently so you can stay in the game with minion kills, or you will start your spear throwing. Either way, the meki pendant keeps your mana up for spamming heals.
Tear of the Goddess - Seriously Love this item. I don't build it up til late game, but you can keep from having to B until you have the money for your next item. Love it.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity - CDR from boots (I don't care how much CC a team has, I use CDR boots regardless because no one can catch me.)
Sheen - This item is your early game friend. You definitely want to get some gold when you first get this Guy.
Mejai's Soulstealer - Not recommended if your new to Nidalee. This item is a good way to determine how good you are. Check your stacks by the time you get your deathcap.
Under 5 Stacks - Keep practicing
Between 5-10 Stacks - Your getting the hang of it.
Over 10 Stacks - Your legit. NOW DONT DIE!
Rabadon's Deathcap - Greatest AP item in the game. Might as well get it. With this bad boy you'll be face timing everyone with spears and around rank 4 your heals will have a significant impact.
Void Staff - 40% magic pen. Welcome to magic pen. cap. This bad boy doesn't just hurt everyone you spear but punishes anyone who gets a nice magic reduction from a trap. Tanks stacking magic reduction? Who cares
Lich Bane - More Movement FTW. Extra Normal attack dmg, awesome for turrets and cougar kills 1v1, or chasing. As far as your Spear, it gets a little more umph in it, but your next item is where you'll see a little more improvement.
Archangel's Staff - Mana's no longer an issue, you can out survive anyone, and gives you freedom to roam the jungle to place traps anytime you want. And the 120+ AP aint to shabby :P

Skill Sequence

My skill sequence is pretty self explanitory for my play style. Level 5 is when I start to harass my lane. By 6 I can turret dive with rank 1 heal and flash, if its even needed, Spears make for easy kills on turrets. Maxing spear followed by heal makes you viable for running the jungle by level 9 or 10.

Summoner Spells

Nidalee is a very versitile champion. With this build I find ghsot and flash most effective.

Ghost - I feel the need, the need for speed!
Just when an enemy champion feels like they've escaped the range of your spear, ghost can give you that extra run speed to get that spear in the back.
Just when an enemy champions feels like they've got you cornered, ghost + a bush, and you've officially turned into usian bolt and no body is close to catching you.

Flash - Cougar can jump over a lot of walls. A LOT. But for those walls that you cant jump, Flash is awesome, not jsut for escaping, but for chasing as well. Sure it got nerfed and stuns still follow, or turrets still hit you, I still feel like this spell is OP. I mean, punce + flash and takedown with cougar is just a nasty combo in its own.

Nidalee Spearskill Play-style in the Team

Everyone complains about Nidalee. Especially in ranked play.
"Haha Nid fails, I'm afk after first ace"
"Nid? Really? First Pick? sigh... another lose"

I don't expect those kids to be looking at this guide, but expect childish comments when you enter ranked 5v5 gameplay.
So what makes Nidalee Spearskill great in 5v5 and how do I play her?
Upon gaining my soulstealer I leave my lane and tell my team I'm going into the jungle for some real action. If your facing a jungler, you should absolutley annoy the **** out of him. Take 3-6 wards with you and travel to your opponents jungle. Which jungle I start in depends on turrets. If our team has more outer turrets than the enemy we get to go into the enemy jungle (woot! Our favorite!) If our team has less turrets, we patrol the river, less fun, but your team can get some easy ganks on wanders who take the fast way rather than the smart way.

Which side? Red or Blue?
Red over blue, but if your team has the outter turret down on red buff side, go blue.
Red? Red is a little bit bigger, and you have easy escape methods (jumping golem camp, or dragon/baron camp) and its bigger, so your more likely to get one champion pinned outside of turret range. I'm going to post some screen shots of how I play the jungle, and maybe a couple vidoe's if I can get a solid resolution.
I'll post a video of gameplay with explanation of why I did the things I did and how you can avoid costly mistake [ cause youll make some palying nidalee, sometimes she just doesn't wanna jump a ledge :P ]

The best thing you can do as Nidalee Spearskill, is to keep your team aware of where enemy champions are, and the path they are taking. Rather than having to hlep your team avoid getting ganked, your roll is to play as a counter ganker. Don't get suckered into a 1v2, and always make your jumps when you need them, always make sure you line up your jump before you get to the wall and make it count, 3 seconds can make for an easy death.

I hope you enjoy this build and find the play style as effective as I do when it comes to ranked team play.
