Introduction

Hello everyone,

Nidalee has recently seen some changes concerning her heal and spear throw. While the spear has become more viable in sustained damage, the heal has been reduced significantly particularly in the early/mid game.

I have found that his build works around that, and in fact play more aggressively than past builds. Nidalee has become somewhat of a hybrid AP nuker, moving away from a support/poke.

Items

I start with [meki pendant], dorans ring is extremely tempting and you have to be careful early game since you have 100 less hp, but the mana regen is absolutely needed to spear throw all day. Meki pendant also will turn into [Tear of the Goddess] where dorans ring will sit there till its replaced late game.

Next is [Hextech Revolver] a pretty great item really. A bit of AP, a bit of spell vamp, not the biggest leap in itemization ever but what we are after is the holy [Hextech Gunblade] the king of hybrid regen whoring!

Grab some boots, you will feel slow with the garen running around with those boots of swiftness >.> You can finish them now or later depending on how badly you need the movement, or magic pen. Get [Mercury Treads] if they are CC heavy, though unless its the majority of the team you can typically get out alive as Nid (cougar leap spam + heal).

[Bilgewater Cutlass] one step closer to Gunblade! Helps alot with those passive attacks and passive regening, don't forget the nice active too for chasing/running.

[Hextech Gunblade]!!! Whooh you made it, yes this expensive, yes you could have more AP. But you couldn't have this much AP/AD and regen with this much gold in one item. Your damage will go up marginally, but your sustainability will shoot through the roof if you play it right. That spear throw spam is mighty tasty when you heal off them, you heal off passive attacks, all cougar abilities, and even that lovely active for chasing/running (sometimes even smiting enemies).

Now that you have your sustain and a start to some damage... Lets get some more! I just love [Rod of Ages] to be totally honesty. HP, Mana, AP its another all in one item and its a reasonable price too. I get this to serve two purposes primarily:
1) It provides HP to make me more survivable and creates an ugly target without losing potential mana/ap opportunities.
2)It doesn't require stacks/kill streaks/or mountains of gold to get and keep its benefits. 10 minutes and its done, unless they surrender at 20, there is plenty of time to gather its benefits completely.

[Archangels Staff] To capitalize on all this mana and continue to grow your pool possibly.

[Rabadon's Deathcap] Need more mana to spear smite! Squishies beware this impales on sight!

[Void Staff] A safe bet item, this can be replaces with a tanky item, more AP, more Mana, hell even CDR if you so please. Void staff is just great for making the most out of your damage on tanks which tend to either block or simply absorb all but the max ranged spears. If they aren't a problem consider [Abyssal Scepter] which works better on low Magic Res targets while having other benefits.
